Chapter 13 - Meeting the wizard

I am, as always, very very sorry for never updating. I just started high school this year, and am knee deep in homework, sports, and music. Right now highlight this word and comment whether you'd prefer short chapters and slightly more updates or if you like the long chapters. Orrrrr if no one says anything (like usual) I'm just gonna do whats convenient at the time.

When I wrote the outline for this story, it was only supposed to be 11 chapters... Oh well *more shrugging*

ON TO THE STORY!

Lucy's POV
FINALLY we got to the city gates. (It only took 4-5 chapters... oops) At the entrance a little green man told us to put on magical green contacts. Otherwise we would be blinded by the emeralds of emerald city. The magic was that they never needed to be taken off or changed. It took a while but, the little man managed to somehow convince Gajeel, through all of his argueing and refusals to put on a pair as well.

Slowly the gates opened, green light shining through. It was like one of those "we have reached our goal" moments like in movies. Everything, and I mean everything was green ; the buildings, streets, food, even people! We were rushed in and the gates soon closed behind us, we were lead into a spa where levy and I were separated from Gajeel, Jet, and Droy.

After our wonderfully relaxing spa treatment, we were handed a set of green clothes to match our freshly green skin. For some reason, none of this seemed weird or wrong to me, or to Levy who also seemed pretty calm about the whole matter.

Once we were able to meet up again with the guys, we all headed towards the wizard's castle. When the door to the front gates of the palace opened a tall man explained that he would show us how to get to the wizard. Also we were all surrounded with a heavy fragrance when walking in which, surprisingly, put my mind at ease; also, a bit sluggish.

The guide explained while leading us down the long corridors, that the wizard being the kind a caring man, and insisted that we were well fed and happy before meeting him. We agreed, and the guide made a right turn, leading us to a buffet-styled dining room with a selection of what had to be at least a hundred of different dishes for us to try, each and every one extremely appetizing and each one very green.

After the meal, we were all very content, and very full. Instead of going right away to see the wizard, we all agreed that we would stay seated and let the food settle; then go to see the wizard.

"I think they're waking up now sir!" A tiny elfish voice, walking me from my sleep. called. Then I heard of what must have been at least 5 sets of feet shuffling across the floor. Confused, and a little bit dizzy, I sat up.

I was sitting in a bed with a soft fluffy green comforter and silk green sheets. The walls were green, and so was everything else.
"Good morning ma'am!" A cheery voice greeted. I turned around to find a little green woman, standing next to the bed, holding a towel and a set of what I assumed was clothes.

"ahhhhh.... who are you?" I asked her

"hahaha" she giggled, I don't know what was so funny, I mean some random woman was just watching me sleep, honestly, I'm a little creeped out. Nevertheless she continued, "your in emerald city! The place where dreams come true and everyone is happy!" All said while brightly smiling.

It's wayyy too early for all this cheer, I closed my eyes, "why am I here again?"

"Miss would you like to take a shower?" The woman asked interrupting my thoughts.

Once stepping into the warm water, I felt the steam cleansing the strong scent that had previously filled my bedroom. Finally, after clearing my mind, I remembered what it was I came hear to do. Also I made a plan to keep from getting sucked into another one of 'their' traps.
