Someone stroking my hair the next morning woke me up, I opened my eyes and looked up. “Morning beautiful, how’d you sleep?” It was Taylor, I smiled and sat up.

“Good morning, hotshot.” I greeted then I pecked his cheek, he looked at me surprised then lifted his hand to cover his cheek. “What?” I asked, after a moment of awkward silence.

          “You kissed me.”

          “On your cheek.”

“But you still kissed me… You never kiss me first.”

I smiled and shrugged. “Consider it a… Morning wake up call.” I said, he smiled then looked up at someone opening the door; it was Chris, who also was holding four frappes.

“Morning girls, Taylor.” He greeted, I mumbled a morning and heard Lexy do the same; I turned to Taylor and pointed to my overnight bag, he hefted it up and handed it to me.

“I talked to the nurse last night, and she said they’re going to be releasing you two around noon.” Taylor said then he pulled out his phone. “Which is in about twenty minutes.” He finished, I nodded and took a sip of the frappe Justin handed me.

“Chris, curtain.” I said, setting the frozen drink on the bedside table; Chris rounded Lexy’s bed and pulled aside the curtain.

“Privacy?” Taylor asked as I pulled out my brush and began to run it through my hair, I shrugged and pulled my long strands up into a fanning pony tail; leaving my bangs on the side, I was grateful when Lexy had Vana teach her how to do it so she could teach me. “Pretty.” He commented, he reached out to run his fingers through my hair; I let his hand come closer until it was an inch away, I smiled and pulled away.

“Lautner, no touchy.” He dropped his hand and pouted, then Lexy spoke up.

“What’s he not suppose to touch over there?”

          “My hair.”

“Obviously, a guy who you aren’t dating isn’t supposed to touch you. Especially your hair, hair is off limits. No guy, no relationship, no hair touching.” I laughed and gestured for Taylor to turn around, he smirked but turned around.

“No peeking…” I murmured, Taylor turned his head a fraction but not fully looking at me. “I said no peeking Taylor.” I scolded him, he chuckled while I heard Lexy laugh.

“You best not be raping my best friend over there.” She said, I giggled and pulled my hospital gown off; I dug through my bag until I found my black bra and my loose fitting high school choir t-shirt.

“Move to the foot of the bed please, Tay.” Taylor stayed seated for a moment before he stood and moved to the foot of the bed, a smiled tugged at the corners of my mouth but I refused to let it show on my face; I quickly pulled on my underwear and black sweats, then I touched Taylor’s shoulder. He turned and smirked once again, I took a deep breath then turned around. Taylor walked around me and took a seat on the hospital bed, he crooked his finger at me; I froze, not moving. Why was I nervous all of a sudden? I’ve been acting like Taylor and I are a couple this morning, but we’re not. I’ve also been acting like we’ve known each other forever, but we haven’t. The question is why?  I looked at Taylor and saw him nawing his bottom lip, he wore an worried expression. "Tay? What is it?" I asked, he looked up and studied my face; I stared into his deep brown orbs, getting lost in the sea of brown for a moment.

"I've just been thinking lately..." He murmured. He trailing off as he tugged on my waist, I let him pull me into the circle of his arms, not caring if anyone saw us; Connor could walk in on us and I wouldn't give two shits about it. Wow, I thought, hanging with Taylor really has changed how I would normally act. "Bella? You listening?" He asked, I looked up to his face and slowly smiled.

"Of course, what have you been thinking about Tay?" I asked, he pursed his lips then looked up to me.

"Promise you'll listen before judging or anything?" He asked, I furrowed my brow in seriousness then nodded. "Well, I've been thinking about..." There was an uncomfortable pause. "About us." He murmured, I flinched then looked at the curtain; hearing Chris and Lex talking about the movie made me feel like they weren't listening so I turned back to Taylor, a serious look on my face.

"What do you mean?" I asked, he sighed and looked down; rubbing small circles on my sides, I immediately started squirming. Sensing he was making me uncomfortable he stopped.

"I mean, we.... Are we dating?" He asked, I looked down and took one of his hands twining our fingers together; I was happy when he didn't pull away.

"That depends on two things." I murmured, silently still fearing Lexy and Chris were listening; it had gone quiet over there.

"And what would these two things be?" He asked, I looked up at him and saw him smiling; I smiled back then voiced what I've been wanting to say since the night in Pizza Hut.

"One, on whether or not you could handle me." I said, he laughed then hugged me.

"You know the real question is whether or not you could handle me... and if Lexy wouldn't kick my ass." He said, it was my turn to laugh.

"Of course, we can't forget that." I giggled, Taylor took my face in his hands then leveled it with his.

"And what's the other thing that it depends on if we're dating or not?" He asked, I got serious again as I looked into his brown orbs again.

"On whether or not if you want a relationship with me... Not a fling, not a one night stand. A real relationship." I said, he smiled then pulled me close. I swallowed hard as he tilted his head, he came close; I knew what was happening so I closed my eyes and lifted my head, waiting for our lips to meet. A moment later I felt the warm softness of Taylor's lips against mine, I let out a gasp then wound my arms around his neck. He breathed in deeply then wound his arms around my waist, we got about this far until I heard Lexy.

"Is he going to answer her or not?"

"I don't know, he better soon or I'm going to rip this curtain and stare him down until he answers." That was Chris, Tay and I pulled away and turned our heads.

"They better have a 'real relationship' or I will kick his ass. He ain't having no one night stand shit with  my best friend. No way, no how. They will be together, even if I have to lock them up in a supply closet at my work."

I looked at Taylor and smiled. "Should we let them know we're listening?" He asked, I smiled and shook my head.

"Nope, I'd rather be doing something else." I murmured, he looked at me curiously and smiled.

"And what would that be?" He asked, I giggled and stretched up on my tip toes to kiss him again; he laughed and mumbled something against my lips, I pulled back and looked at him.

    "What was that?"

    "I said, this is better."

    "Mmm, much better."

"Bro?" Lexy asked, I looked over and blushed majorly when I saw her, Chris, and two nurses watching us. "Are you guys done making out so we can get the hell outta here?" She asked, I cleared my throat and smoothed my hair back.

"Um, y-yeah. Let's get out of here." I said, she laughed and shook her head. Lexy and I both reluctantly got in wheel chairs and let the nurses push us to the hospital door. I sighed in relief when Lexy and I sat in the back of Cindie, with Taylor driving we made our way to Lexy's place.
