I sighed and walked into lexy’s massive bathroom shutting the door softly behind me. I laid the clothes on the counter and started stripping. Once I shimmied into my jeans and pulled on my top I quickly ran a brush through my hair. I looked at myself in the mirror then drew a deep breath when I just remembered Taylor was going to be there as well.
“It’s okay.” I told myself, trying to calm my jambled nerves. “You can do this, Lexy wouldn’t have let Jay invite him if she didn’t think you could handle it.” I told myself, I took another deep breath then grabbed Lexy’s two straighteners and her make-up bag then opened the door.
“Wow… hot. No homo.” Was the first words out of Lexy’s mouth, she gave a short laugh and I joined in.
“Thanks, you too. Justin’ll be all up on that.” I told her after glancing at her outfit. She was dressed in some plain black skinnies like me, but she also wore a white loose cropped tank that showed her mid-drift. I looked at her bed and saw a light grey leather jacket, I heard Lex giggle; I looked up to see her shake her head at my last comment. “You ready for this?” I asked, holding up the two small straighteners and her make-up bag; Lexy grinned and nodded.
“Let’s do this…”
Lex and I decided to do our make-up first, mine consisted of a brown smoky eye while Lexy’s was similar only the color was grey. We both blew dry our hair hair and set to work straightening it, I was nearly done with mine whereas Lexy had a ways to go; it was only because my hair wasn’t as thick as hers. As a little girl I had really thick hair like a Mexican on my dad’s side, but I outgrew it once I turned sixteen; my hair grew longer and thinner like an Cherokee Indian on my mother’s side, a few minutes passed before I heard Jay’s voice.
“Babyyyyyyyy. Where’s my babyyyyy?” He asked in a sing-song voice, calling from the hallway.
“In hereeeee.” To my surprise lexy responded, I fought the urge to finishe getting ready in the bathroom; Justin poked his head into the room then and smiled widely at Lexy.
“Hey, babe. Whatcha doing?”
“Getting ready, what does it look like?’
“Whoa, hot. You should just wear your hair like that.” Justin told her, then playfully winked.
“Once I finish, it’ll look better.” Justin let out a humming noise.
“I’ve never seen you with your hair straightened… Bet you’ll look beautiful.” A moment of silence passed before Justin added. “Also extremely sexy.” Then he laughed.
“Uh huh…” She started straightening another layer of hair as the room fell silent. A few minutes later as I was about to start straightening my last layer I noticed Lexy looking at Jay, he met her eyes and smiled then winked. I sighed and straightened a piece of hair, at this rate it’ll take two hours just to get ready I thought, then I got an idea.
“Hey Bieber, where’s Taylor at?” I asked, I swallowed and wet my lips before looking up at him then averted my glance to my reflection.
“Hmm, I dunno. I think he’s with Connor at the club, why?” He said, I looked and smiled.
“You should go there too.” He pouted.
“What? Why? I wanna stay hereeee.” He whine.
“No, you can go chill with them because all you’re doing is distracting Lex from beautifying herself.” I told him, I head Lexy stifle a giggle at my comment.
“No, I’m not! All I’m doing is watching!” He exclaimed.
“Exactly, no go away.” I said.
