“Man, I think that was the best meal I’ve had in a long time.” Justin said, I smiled as I carried the dishes to the sink.

“Thanks Justin, I’m glad you liked it. Now then I’ll do the dishes—“

“No, what you’ll do is sit with me in the living and explain everything like you said you would.” He cut me off, I sighed and decided he was right; it was time he knew the whole Lane story.

“C’mon, let’s go into the living room.” I suggested, he walked into the room while I got a bottle of wine and a wineglass.

“Really? More alcohol?” Justin asked as I walked into the room, I gave him a look as I sat on the couch and he slid the sliding door open to let in a cool night breeze then sat in the lazy boy.

“I deserve this, I’ve been through hell these past couple of days.” I said, I poured the glass half full and took a sip; Justin just looked at me, scoffed and shook his head as if in denial.

“You? What about us? What about me, Lex, Taylor? If this Lane shit never happened, were you ever gonna come back?” I swallowed and furrowed my eyebrows.

“What are you talking about? Of course I would, I wouldn’t just blow you guys off. Kind of like you did with Alexis.” He looked at me then shook his head, I could tell he was getting mad now; good now he knows how I feel.

“Don’t you dare, don’t you fucking dare Bella! Don’t turn this shit on me, this is about you not me. Besides I did what I did for my career, so—“

“So, your career is more important than Lex?” I scoffed then took a huge gulp of wine. “That good to know, wait till I tell her.”

“That’s not what I meant, Scooter—“

“Doesn’t control you, you can make your own decisions! God damn, Justin! When are you gonna open your eyes?”

“What? What are you talking about?” He asked, I took a gulp of wine then rolled my eyes.

“It’s pretty obvious isn’t it? Have you even bothered to tell her you’re leaving for tour in like four days?” Justin didn’t say anything, he just looked away. “That what I thought, when she finds out you’re gone and didn’t tell her you might as well kiss your intimate relationship with her good bye.”

“Are you serious?” He asked, I nodded then sighed.

“Or you could tell her before you have to go, preferably tomorrow or the day after.” I suggested, he sighed then shrugged.

“But how do I tell her?” He asked, I sighed and pondered.

“Hmm, you could go with the gentle approach. You could spend the day with her, then take her out to a nice dinner or something and break the news gently after your guy’s meal… When you’re away from the restaurant, for all you know she could take that knife and cut off your dick… Anyways, that’s what you could do.” I suggested, he thought about it for a minute before nodding.

“Yeah, good idea… Except for the cutting off my dick part, I don’t like that part.” He looked up at me then grimaced. “Look, I’m sorry for biting your head off about the Lane thing.” I smiled then nodded.

“It’s okay, sorry about what I said.” He shook his head.

“Don’t be, you… Kind of opened my eyes. Now I know not to have sharp knives around Lex when she’s made” I smiled and giggled.

“Then you’re welcome.” We laughed for a moment before Justin asked the question.

“So, you ready to tell me about you and this guy Lane?”
