Two and a half years ago.
"Who's Jai?" Marina asked, confusion written on her face.
Luke stared at her in disbelief. What was she talking about? He parted his lips to speak but instead sped out of the room, going to the living room. Daniel, Beau, and James sat on the couches, each of them quiet and staring at Luke.
"Where the hell is Jai? And why is Marina acting as if she doesn't know him?" Luke questioned his fellow friends and brother.
"Jai..uh..he left." Daniel spoke, slightly afraid of Luke's temper.
"Left?" Luke's voice was becoming darker, his tone turning irritated.
"We listened in on the conversation. He left with Jonathan so he could save you, erasing marina's memories along with it." Beau said in a calm manner and that seemed to piss Luke off.
James took notice of the way Luke clenched his fists and his jaw tightened. He stood up and placed his hands up to calm Luke. "Hey..he's the reason your alive. Be grateful. And as for Marina...Jai asked us to not speak of him nor tell her the truth."
Luke said nothing. Though there was a lot he wanted to say, he knew James was right. He should be grateful. But what about Marina? He didn't know if he could lie to her like that. On the brighter side though, maybe he'd get a chance to be with her now. He already admitted his love for her, now he was determined to have her feel the same way.
Yes, it was wrong. But what else was he suppose to do? He knew Marina did feel something towards him but refused to let herself indulge in it because of Jai.
But he was gone.

Two years ago, six months after Jai's departure.
"I had a nice time. Thank you, Luke." Marina said as her and Luke sat on the porch swing of Luke's home. Luke smiled at her, his fingers lacing with hers as he gently kissed her cheek.
"I did too." He pulled her hand up to his mouth, his lips brushing against her smooth skin as he placed more kisses. "I love you." He mumbled against her skin and met her dark eyes.
Marina parted her lips to speak but Luke interrupted her. "I know. You don't feel the same way. But I just want to let you know that I love you and always will. No matter what."
Marina shook her head and squeezed his hand softly, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "I wasn't going to say that. I was going to say that I think I love you too."
Luke's eyes nearly popped out of his head a smile plastered itself on his face. Without a second thought, he leaned forward and captured Marina's lips with his, kissing her with such intensity and passionate that nearly had her faint and made him feel alive.

Marina's blush darkened as she kissed him back, her hands running down his shoulders. She pulled away slightly, her forehead leaning against his.
"Be mine.." Luke whispered, pecking her swollen lips once more.
"I already am yours." Marina whispered back and leaned in to kiss him again.

One year ago.
Marina cried out in pleasure as she felt herself release around Luke, her nails digging into the skin of his back. Her eyes met his and she bit her lip as his mouth made an 'o' shape as he reached his peak too.
They both panted, trying to catch their breaths and entangled themselves beneath the sheets and in each other's arms. Luke kissed the top of her head and brushed some hairs out of her face.
No words were spoken and they stayed in a comfortable silence, Marina slowly falling asleep due to the exhaustion Luke had caused. Luke however, couldn't find the blissful state called sleep. He felt guiltier than ever.
He slept with his twin's girlfriend.
Well, ex-girlfriend, if you want to get technical.
He'd gone against the 'bro code'. He'd broken the twin pact. It was fractured when him and Marina began dating but now it was completely broken. There was no going back.
He couldn't seem to stop though. It was like a drug. The more you had it, the more you craved it and became addicted.
Marina was his drug and he knew it was wrong but it felt so right to him.

Luke threw his phone at the wall, it and the wall breaking upon contact. He ran a hand through his curly locks, a frustrated sigh leaving his lips. He'd just gotten off the phone with Jai and to say Luke was mad was understatement.
He was furious.
He did give Jai a 15 minute long rant, going off about how he should've explained himself and was a dumbass for leaving. Jai yelled too when Luke accidentally mentioned him and marina's relationship.
Though Jai had his anger in check, so he immediately shut up. He didn't have the right to tell his brother off when Jai was the one to leave Marina. So the two twins got into a bit of a fight but Luke didn't care.
He didn't want Jai to call or return. Life was perfect for him and Marina. They were a strong, happy couple and had just moved into their new house, and nothing could ruin that.
Except Jai and his soon to be unannounced arrival.

A/N
Just a filler chapter to let you guys know some of the things that happened after Jai left. There will be more chapters like this and I promise Jai will return to Marina soon!
Also, you guys seem to be pretty upset with the fact that Luke and Marina are a couple. I'm sorry! This is part of the story and I just need you guys to be patient because A LOT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND CHANGE.
