2 and a half years later.

"Have a good weekend everyone! Don't forget to turn in your homework on your way out." Marina, known as Miss Walker to her students, stated with a smile gracing her pink lips. She collected her things when the last person exited the room and made her way out the door as well.

The walk to her car was short. She set her things in the trunk and moved to the drivers seat, igniting the engine and driving off the school grounds. It was Friday , thank god, and she wanted nothing more than to go home and rest.

"I'm home, Luke." Marina said as she walked into the house her and Luke had bought about a month ago. The house wasn't big, but it wasn't too small. It was a two story with four bedrooms. It might seem too spacious for them, but Marina insisted that it'd be perfect for when they have kids. Luke, of course, had stayed silent when she mentioned this, only nodding his head.

Marina set her things down in the living room and followed the smell of burning pasta coming from the kitchen. She immediately began to laugh at the sight in front of her. Luke stood there, in a pink 'Kiss The Cook' apron, a wooden spoon and a pot in each hand. There was red tomato sauce on the floor and a noodle caught in his curly hair.

"Don't laugh at me! This cooking thing is harder than it looks", Luke said, feigning hurt.

It wasn't lie. As a human, Luke wasn't the greatest cook and when he turned, he never bothered to learn to cook properly. Vampires didn't live off of food. They could eat, but it would do nothing to them. Marina didn't know this, though, so he forced the food down at every meal, ignoring its disgusting taste. Luke hadn't told her about his kind, as Jai had requested when he left.

Jai.

Luke had only spoken to him once in the last two and a half years since he'd left. It was only a short conversation that consisted of Luke yelling at him for leaving like that when they could've found another way. Luke knew that Jai had this thing about wanting to be the "hero" and not the "villain". But he was the villain in Luke's eyes.

There were a few upsides to Jai's departure. For one, Luke was able to admit his feelings to Marina and she soon realized she felt the same way and they were now a couple of two years. But Luke knew he was taking advantage of her oblivious state, and he did feel guilty. 

He did a good job at hiding his vampirism. There was only a few times where his hunger would slip while making out or engaging in other sexual activities *wink wink*. But he had learned to control it better. It was hard to smuggle blood into the house sometimes. But he managed.

He was planning on telling her soon. He couldn't keep this big of a secret from much longer. Marina was smart, and she was beginning to notice that some things were off about him.

He set the utensils down and embraced Marina in a welcoming hug. She tried to stifle her laughter and reached up, plucking the noodle out of his hair.

"Maybe we should have take out for dinner instead?" She suggested and placed a quick kiss to his lips. She began to pull away from him but and let out a squeal as Luke pulled her back against him. She had no time to tell him anything as he caught her lips in a passionate and heated kiss.

Marina's cheeks flushed as she kissed him back, his lip ring cool against her lips. Luke pulled away slightly, moving his lips to her ear where he whispered, "I'd rather have you for dinner, if you know what I mean."

Marina scoffed and pushed him away slightly but she couldn't help the smile that made it's way on to her lips. "Maybe later. I want some actual food right now". She said with a wink.

Luke groaned out in frustration, his hands gripping her hips. "You're such a tease."

"Only to you." Marina stated and pecked his lips gently.

"I love you." Luke whispered, gazing into her chocolate brown eyes. Marina smiled softly and leaned her forehead against his.

"I love you too, Lukey."

I'm writing when I should be paying attention in my physics class.

I couldn't wait any longer! This chapter is kinda short but it explains how Marina is living her life!
