Half an hour passed. Each of us were quiet. This had to be the most traumatic night of our lives. Even though we didn't remember anything about our past.

"I can't believe we're still alive," Thomas said, staring out beyond the Cliff. Minho said nothing, just nodded, his face devoid of expression.

"Are there more of them? Did we just kill them all?"
Minho snorted. "Somehow we made it to sunrise, or we would've had ten more on our butts before long." He shifted his body, wincing and groaning. "I can't believe it. We made it through the whole night—never been done before."

" What did we do differently?" I ask.

"I don't know. It's kind of hard to ask a dead guy what he did wrong."
Thomas and Minho talked about something with the Cliff but I ignored it. I couldn't think straight anymore. My mind hurt to think about anything. My whole body was aching. Eyes bloodshot.

"We have to get back." Thomas remembered, standing to his feet.

" Oh yeah.... he's on the wall..." I said groaning that I'd have to get up. Minho's face held the look of confusion.Thomas explained to him what we did with the ropes. Minho made a comment about how Alby might be dead considering that he hadn't got the Serum.

Thomas shuddered at the thought. "After what we just went through, I think I can imagine."

" Well we need to get to him." I stood up but stopped in my tracks. My head began pounding against my head. It felt like my skull was going to crack. Thomas grabbed a hold of me, his voice calling my name. He sounded so far away...I closed my eyes, Thomas the last thing I saw.

" Tommy!" A little girl screamed as she watched the boy Thomas being dragged away from her by people in black suits. There hands were outstretched, desperately wanting to reach each other. Thomas struggled against the men who were holding him back.

" What's happening?" I said to myself. I tried to reach out to Thomas but my hand fell through his arm. " What are these....dreams or memories...."

I turned around to the little girl. Her cries becoming louder, most desperate. She was alone. I walked over to her and sat beside her. I don't understand what's going on....what's happening. I leaned my head back against the wall and closed my eyes.

My eyes opened back up slightly. I felt two arms holding me up. " Mak!"Thomas was still yelling, still holding me. I looked up into his eyes, my eyes half lidded.

" Tommy?" I said hoarsely.

" Minho c'mon we have to get her back to the Glade." Thomas's voice was in panic. Thomas pulled me up and carried me bridal style. I know Thomas struggled to keep me in his arms. He had to be just as tired as all of us. Him and Minho took turns carrying me. Several times I blacked out to have...to have....what ever the heck happened. I couldn't remember anything. But I know I saw something in each dream...memory....what ever they were.

We turned to another corner and it felt like they picked up speed, but I wasn't fully awake either. I was half and half. Half conscious of my surroundings yet not. I caught pieces of their conversations about the Serum and then Minho explaining why it was called the Serum and why Grievers were called Grievers.

A minute or two passed in silence between all of us. Thomas looked in thought then looked down at me worriedly. A gave a ghost of a smile and passed out once again.T-this again? I walked around in the darkness. I didn't know where I was going but it felt like it was going on forever and forever, waiting till a memory surfaced. It was strange that I could fully remember what I saw here but not after these accrued. If that made any sense then good if not well....I don't have any other explanations for it.

" It's okay...don't be scared." A familiar accent said.

" B-but...they took him....they took Tommy...."

" I know they took your brother. You told me before. But no need to be scared you've got us. Me and Lizzy and our mummy and daddy."

I turned around to see the little girl who I figured out was me. Had to be. We were now in a basement. Me, a mother, a father, a little girl, and a small dirty blonde haired boy. I-is that Newt?
The little boy hugged little Makena. " It's okay Makena. He'll come back for you. You said he will and he's never broken a promise to you remember? C'mon sit next me and try to sleep."

Little me wobbled over to him and rested my head against him. " Goodnight Newt...."

" Goodnight Makena..."

" Thomas she's awake again!" I looked up, now a bit more fully conscious to see I was now in Minho's arms.

" Makena are you alright? You've been out for well over ten minutes."

" Y-yeah..." My voice croaked. " Can we stop for a minute?"

" Only for a minute." Minho said as he placed me down. I rubbed my eyes and stretched my back, hearing a nice pop from it.

" I..." I started but paused. Should I tell them?

" You what?" Thomas asked. I looked down at my shoes and contemplated whether or not I should tell them. I will....but not until I remember what that something was...

" I think I can run on my own..." I said standing up but failing. My legs felt like noodles.

" I don't think so Mak." Minho replied. He picked me back up in bridal style. " We're almost there, I'm sure you can stay in my arms a little longer. Plus you look like a mess." Minho joked.

" You look like a mess too y'know." He smiled and we rounded a few more corners before they abruptly stopped. I looked down the corridor and my heart skipped a beat. Newt and a group of Gladers were at the West Door to the Glade standing at the opening. We did it....we made it back.

Newt limped over to us. "What happened?" he asked; he sounded almost angry. "How in the bloody—"

He paused when he looked down at me. His face went pale. Do I really look bad?

" What happened to Makena?!" Newt asked, taking me in his arms.

" We don't know....she kept blacking out and she was in and out of it the whole way here..." Minho said breathless.

" That and we need to save Alby." Thomas replied.

"What do you mean? He's alive?"

"Just come here." Thomas pointed up at where Alby hung,. He was still there, and in one piece, but there was no sign of movement.

Newt finally saw his friend hanging in the ivy, and looked back at Thomas. If he'd seemed shocked before, now he looked completely bewildered. "Is he ... alive?"

"I don't know. Me and Makena got him up there."

" You and Makena got him up there..." Newt shook his head. "C'mon we have to get yourselves checked by the Med-jacks. You all look bloody awful. I want the whole story when they're done and you're rested up."

"We need sleep. And bandages. Now." Minho said, resting his hand on Thomas's shoulder.

The walk back into the Glade and then to the Homestead seemed to go on forever. Gladers parted for us, both sides gawking. Their faces showed complete awe, as if they we were ghost and came back from the dead. I couldn't blame them.

My head once more began to pound but not very bad. The next few minutes were a blur. We were escorted into the Homestead by a couple of Med-jacks, up the stairs. Newt carried me into the Coma's girl room. Thomas looked back at me and I smile slightly. He smiled back at me. We were then put into bed, got food, water, and bandages.

For hours I caught up on sleep. It was nice to be back in a bed. The fluffiness of my pillow was comforting. My feet still ached and my head still pounded but it didn't matter. I was back. I made to the Glade, to my home. As I was about to fall back asleep for the 4th time now, a blood-chilling scream erupted from a room down the hall.
