Chapter 24

Jane hurried over to the door from the kitchen. She answered it and the lady, whom she learned was Mrs. Daniels, was at the door.

"I came by to see if you needed anything."

"I...i guess maybe not. But i guess."

"Is Paul giving you a hard time, dear?"

"No."

"John?"

"No."

"Well do you need anything, how about you rest and ill watch Paul."

"I...okay, thanks. Paul has eaten."

"Okay." She smiled and put her coat in the closet. Then went into the kitchen.

Mean while Jane walked upstairs, slowly. She was feeling tired. 

"Jane?"

Jane looked up to see John at the top of the stair case.

"Hello John. Nice nap?"

"Yeah." He blinked and yawned. "So are they back?"

"Who?"

"Paul's parents."

"Oh, no. Do you remember where Paul is?"

"Where he is? He's in that body isn't he?"

"Yes."

"Oh, why do you ask."

"No reason. Their neighbor is over here and watching Paul. Their in the kitchen if you want to know."

"Okay. Thanks. I feel terrible."

"Like what?"

"Like i had to much to drink."

"John..."

"What?"

"Nothing. Im going to rest now."

"Not use to taking care of babies huh?"

"No, guess not."

"Okay, you get some sleep." John patted her back and went by her.

Jane went upstairs and fell asleep on the master bed.

"Oh Hello John. Are you alright?"

"Im fine, now."

"Thats good. Want something to eat?"

"That would be nice, thanks."

Mrs. Daniels got a plate out and served him.

"Do you have a job?" she asked, sitting down.

"Yes...no. Sorta."

"What?"

"Im a musician."

"Oh, what do you play?" She smiled.

"Guitar."

"The guitar."

"Yeah. I have a band and with three others."

"Are you incharge?"

"Yes!" john grinned. The front door opened and they heard someone walk in.

"We're home." They heard Jim call.

"In here!" John called back.

He came in with a smile.

"They said they can fix it, thankfully we got to it soon."
