The movie ended and Louis was picking another one with Iz. They were cute together too. I got up to make more popcorn. I heard footsteps behind me as I waited for the popcorn to finish.
"Mel, I'm sorry." I could recognize that Irish accent anywhere. I turned around and there was Niall standing there.
"For what?" I said acting like I didn't have a clue.
"I wish I could tell you why I kissed you like that. It's just, complicated." he said.
"Complicated huh? Well I got time Niall." I said leaning against the counter. He didn't answer right away. He was silent. "Okay, it's fine. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." I said pushing off of the counter. I grabbed the popcorn and started walking back into the living area. I heard Niall sigh and then come walking back into the living area to. They had finally picked out a movie, The Last Song. That movie made me cry so much, but I didn't really care. I loved it anyway. I sat back down next to Harry and Niall sat in his same spot. Louis put the movie in and it started playing. I couldn't get Niall's words out of my head. 'It's complicated.'. If it was so complicated, then why did he do it? It shouldn't be complicated. He kissed me. It could have been just by accident, nothing more. And he should be able to tell me why at least. I guess I probably deserve to know. I looked over at Niall, and when he looked over I didn't notice. But once I did notice, I quickly looked away. And Harry noticed to.
"Okay, what's going on?" Harry said abruptly.
"Oh, Ronnie is going to spend the summer with her dad." Louis said, clearly not understanding that he wasn't talking about the movie.
"Not about the movie Louis." he said. "Niall and Mel. Ever since we left the lake you two have been acting really strange. What's going on?" he asked again.
"Nothing, everything's fine." I said. Iz had paused the movie by now, and everyone was listening to what was going on.
"Are you sure?" Harry asked.
"I kissed Mel today at the lake." Niall said. Everyone's head turned to him, even mine. I looked at him mortified. Why did he have to blurt that out? Especially in front of everyone. We could have just made them believe everything was fine.
"You what?" Harry said standing up from the couch.
"I kissed Mel." he said again.
"Why would you do that?" Harry's tone was getting angrier.
"I don't know." Niall said. I stood up from the couch in front of Harry.
"Harry, it was an accident. It didn't mean anything." I said holding my hands out. He looked at me. Then to Niall.
"I thought you were one of my best friends Niall. Now your trying to steal away my girlfriend?!" Harry's voice was rising.
"Guys, hold on, we can work this out." I said trying to interrupt.
"No, I didn't mean to do anything Harry! I swear." Niall said standing up now too.
"Well, obviously you kissed her for some reason! What do you love her or something?" Harry asked.
Niall was silent. The look on his face said it all. "Oh my God." I said.
"You do." Harry whispered.
"Niall?" I said looking at him.
"So what, your trying to steal my girlfriend now because you can't get your own?" Harry said harshly. I gasped.
"I can't take this." I said as I walked away to my room with my hands to my head. I closed my door and sat on my bed. I heard talking but I couldn't make out the words. I heard my front door close and then footsteps approaching my door. There was a soft knock on my door.
