The whole ride home I cried. I cried till no end. But it was silent crying. I couldn't bring myself to believe that my Grandma was actually gonna die soon. After all she had been through with me, I just couldn't accept. Her words kept repeating over and over in my head. 'I'll always be with you, in here.". Four hours later I arrived at my apartment building. I went upstairs to my apartment with my luggage. I unlocked the door and brought all of my luggage into my bedroom. I unlocked my IPad and checked my messages. 10 missed face time calls from the boys. I sighed. I would call them later tonight. I then went out across the hall and knocked on Iz's door. When she opened it she was smiling wide, but then it quickly disappeared.
"Hey! Oh my gosh what happened?" she asked nervously.
"What do you mean?" I asked her confused.
"Your face, it's all blotchy and red. It looks like you've been crying." she said, pulling me inside.
"Oh, um yeah." was all I said.
"You poor thing! What happened?" se asked again as she dabbed my face with a wet towel. I went on to explain to her what had happened, and that my Grandma was going to die soon.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. So you're going back in a few days?" she asked me.
"Yeah," I said. She nodded.
"I'm realy sorry. I know how much your Grandma means to you." she said.
"Thanks." I said. She leaned towards me and hugged me. I hugged her back and more tears slipped down my cheeks. Man, I felt like I was never going to stop crying today. Iz let go and pulled away.
"Do you want to go do something to take your mind off of things? We can go shopping!!" she asked and said excitedly.
"Um, yeah, sure. I would love that." I said smiling.
"Okay, than let's go!" Iz said jumping off the couch.
"Okay." I said. I stopped at my place to grab my phone and money. Then we headed to the mall. We shopped until we practically dropped. No, literally, we were carrying so many bags, it was crazy. I thought we were going to fall over. We bought so many clothes, it was insane. We put the bags in the car and headed back to the apartment building. I decided to just go to my apartment and hang out, face time the boys, unpack, things like that. I said goodbye to Iz and then went to my room. I began unpacking until everything was finally put away. Then I started to put away all of the stuff I bought at the mall today. I heard my phone buzz on the nightstand as I was almost finished putting things away. I looked at it and saw it was a text from Harry.
From: Harry<3
To: Mel
'Face time?'
I replied.
From: Mel
To: Harry<3
'Sure, I'll call you in a sec.'
I finished putting things away in about five minutes. Then I hopped on my bed and opened up the face time app on my IPad. I saw that Harry was on, so I pressed the call button on his contact. After about two rings his face popped up on the screen. I smiled. I hadn't see his face in awhile.
"Hey babe!" he said into the camera.
"Hey." I said.
"How's everything going?" he asked me.
"Okay, but...."
"But what?" he urged me to continue.
"But my Grandma's dying Harry, and I don't want her to leave me." I said, tears filling my eyes.
