Blake

It's crazy to think the pack house used to be beautiful and full of life. Now it's a bare cold place with blood and dried tears. The remaining members of the pack help me and Christian clean up, construction is happening. The pack house was completely trashed during the attack , it's break my heart to see our pack like this.
Jackson finds me later that day, he is completely healed and looks alive "Hey, I'm glad you are okay." I smile at me wiping down the brand new marble countertops in the kitchen , the pack house is fifty percent finished "Thank you." I finish wiping the counters then start painting.

Lydia finds me just as I'm done painting the last coat of the white on the door "Why do you always put yourself in danger?" She scowls stepping over the paint tray "If I didn't do that the whole pack would have died." I run the paint on my hands on my sweatpants "I know, I just hate the fact that all this bullshit is happening." She gestures to the house, I sigh "Most of our pack members are injured, me and Christian have to wait until they are healed before putting them to work." Lydia shakes her head looking down at the floor " Bryan and I are thinking of pushing the wedding back, there is just too many things happening." Lydia sounds disappointed, I rub her arm but she shrugs me off. "Lydia, everything will fall back into place." She scowls "Maybe if you didn't get with Christian this wouldn't have happened." Her words cut through me like glass, how dare she?

I risked my life for my pack , Lydia scowls at the floor "Look Blake, everything has gone to shit since you two got together. Maybe Amelia and Christian were meant to be." I gasp at her words, why is she saying this? "How could you." I scowls , Lydia shrugs "Blake are pack is dying slowly but surely , it's your fault!" She yells, "My fault, I saved us by turning myself over to the rogues!" I yell back "The alpha of the rogues didn't died , what if he comes back?" I'm quiet for a few seconds , I hope he didn't come back. "I don't know Lydia." She nods crossing her arms over her chest "That's exactly what I meant." I swallow thickly pushing a piece of hair behind my ear "I don't know what you want me to tell you." I whisper "Nothing Blake." Lydia gives me an ugly look before walking away from me.

I scoff at her rolling my eyes, dipping my paintbrush back into the paint. I paint another coat of white paint on the door when two hands find my waist "Hey." Christian kisses my neck "Hi." I paint the door with long strokes "You seem down today." I shrug "Lydia said the pack dying is my fault." My tone is bitter and full of hate. Christian tenses facing me towards him he wears a pair of basket ball shorts and a black muscle shirt covered in paint. "What?" I sigh rubbing paints off of Christians neck "It's doesn't really matter." I'm just tired.

Christian scowls brushing a piece of hair from my face "Don't Blame yourself, rogues attack all the time." I nod pulling away from him "It's just that all this happened when we got together , maybe it is my fault." Christian grabs my face gently "It's not your fault!" He speaks firmly, my wolf agrees with him. I bite my lower lip "I guess." My voice is a whisper "Why don't we go back home." "There is so much work to do though." I gesture to the pack house , Christian shrugs "Sean contacted a construction company today, they are coming in a few hours." I nod smiling at him "Can we grab lunch?" Christian smiles and kisses my lips "Of course, come one let's go."

Christian takes me to a small diner just outside of our territory. I order chicken strips and he orders a burger "What are you thinking about?" Christian sips his unsweetened tea , I shrug swirling the straw in my drink "Everything and more." My mind is racing with what happened and what Lydia told me. "You think to much." Christian smirks grabbing my hand from across the table. "I know, I need a vacation." I smirk , Christian chuckles "Only two more days baby." I groan "That's to long." Our lake trip is so close but so far at the same time, I wonder if Christian is going to propose.

"It will go bye fast." He reassures me "I hope so." Christian smiles at me with love. I melt in my seat , I love him so much.

"I'm going to get you cell phone." Christian announces taking a bite from his burger , I raise an eyebrow "Why?" I eat a fry from my plate "You need to be able to contact me at all times." I can't help but laugh, Christian smirks at me "You think I'm funny huh?" I shrug "Kinda yeah." Christian shakes his "With all this bullshit , I don't want to take any chances." I nod "I guess you're right." Christian nods "I'm always right." I roll my eye shaking my head "Keep telling yourself that alpha." Christian scowls at me playfully "Watch it little girl." I bat my lashes "Little girl?" My wolf purrs.

Christian swallows thickly clearing his throat "Don't." He warns and takes a long drink of his tea , I control my grin and finish eating the rest of my food.

Our house is cold , I can almost see my breath. I shiver wrapping my arms around myself "Why is it so cold?" Christian shrugs checking the air ,"The air was set at 60." My eyes widen and I walk into the living room, Christians sister is sitting in the middle of the living room with candles lit all around her. She is meditating. "Christ Rebecca, what are you doing here?" Christian steps over the candles , Rebecca shrugs "Seeing my Luna of course stupid." Rebecca stands bowing out the candle, she faces me "I should have known, it was you!" She pulls me in for a hug, I laugh "How long will you be staying?" Christian asks, he sounds beyond annoyed. Rebecca scowls pulling away "Little brother, I don't know." Little brother? Huh I though Christian was older. "Problems between you and Henry again?" Rebecca tenses clearing her throat "Please not now Christian." Her tone is panicked.

My eyes drift from her then to Christian who is giving Rebecca a disappointed look. "Alright, there is a room upstairs." He gestures to the stairs then walks into his office. "So how are you?" I break the awkward silence , Rebecca purses her lips "My brother has always been an asshole, I wish you luck with him." She scowls and grabs her car keys and sprints to the front door. The door slams behind her, I scoff slightly grabbing a blanket and heading to our bedroom.

I decide to read the book Christian keeps on his bed side table , the old man and the sea.

The hours tick by slowly, almost to slowly. This book is beyond boring and I find myself thinking of random things. Like where is alpha James and why did I see those shadows? My wolf shrugs not really caring about those things anymore.

Christian wonders into the room just as the sun sets "Reading my book huh?" He smirks "It's the most boring book ever." I pout tossing it next to me , Christian chuckles giving me a small kiss. "Where did my sister go?" "She left, she seemed pretty upset." Christian rolls his eyes walking into the bathroom and Turing in the bath tub. "Rebecca has never really been a strong girl, men walk all over and women do to. She's a recovering meth head and expects me to open my home to her. " His words come out like a snarl, Christian scowls "She can't expect me to be like my parents, handing everything to her." I swallow thickly, it sounds like Christian doesn't like his sister.

Christian sighs "I'm running bath for you." I can't help but laugh "What is it with you and bathes?" Christian shrugs "You seem tense, its will help you relax." I sigh "Why did I see those shadows before , I don't see them anymore." Christian eyes widen slightly "Don't act like you don't know." I whisper, I need to know. Christian sighs "They are called watchers , rogues can cook the up. They are made to watch their pray, see how their pray thinks, talks and lives. It's the easiest way to kill." I feel sick now.

"So the rogues were watching me?" He nods "How are the watchers made?" Christian purses his lips "By magic, some werewolves are given the gift of magic. It's very rare but not uncommon." Magic? That's insane.
I look down at red fleece blanket that's covering me "Why don't I see them anymore?" "Probably because James destroyed the magic, meaning he killed whoever created the watcher." I shiver at the information , alpha James was watching me the whole time.

Christian gives me back to reality my kissing my lips. "James is gone, let's try to forget about this alright?" Christian grabs my hand and kisses my knuckles "How can I?" I'm still shaken up from all of this. "Blake just try, so we can move on." He kisses my lips again "I'll try." He smiles kissing me again.

After my bathe I'm dressed in one of Christians shirts and heading to his office where he said he was. "Mother don't." He scowls over the phone , I pause in the entrance holding my breathe "Rebecca is dramatic, she can stay here." Christian eyes look beyond tired and frustrated , I walk in slowly. Christian eyes find me and they look over my body greedily. I smile at sit down my his lap burying my face in his neck, Christian wraps his arm around me tightly kissing my head. "Mother I'm going to have to let you go." I hear his mother sigh on the other end of the phone. "I love you too, goodnight." Christian hangs up the phone.

I look up at him "Everything okay?" He kisses my lips "Mm now that you're here." I blush slightly cuddling into his chest again. "Blake?" "Yeah?" Christian gently moves my head up to look at him "You still want to get married?" I nod "Of course." He smiles down at me kissing me roughly "I'm glad." "Are we going to get married?" Christian smirks at me kissing me again "Maybe." He teases, I scoff sitting up from his chest. "I'm going to bed." I kiss his lips before hoping off his lap "Okay I'll be there soon." He smacks my butt , chuckling at me. "You are such a pervert." I tease.
Christians eyes darken "You have no idea."
