Twenty-Four : Lake Trip

Blake:

My wolf is awake bright and early ready for our lake trip, I open my eyes squinting at the bright sunlight shining though the windows. Christian isn't in bed next to me but I can hear him in the kitchen. I grin to myself , I wonder if he is going to propose?

I slowly but surely climb out of bed to use the restroom and brush my teeth , with my hair in a messy bun I head into the living room.
Christian is sitting at the breakfast bar wearing his pajamas , he types away on a laptop drinking a cup of coffee.

I wrap my arms around him from behind kissing his neck "Good morning." I feel Christian smile "Hi baby." Christians hands grabs my wrist and pulls me around to face him "Are you ready for our trip?" I smile widely kissing his lips. Christian pulls back "I love you." He whispers "I love you too." Christian hugs me tightly kissing my mark. Geez so much affection. "Is something wrong?" He scowls pulling back "Can't I love you?" I laugh at his expression "Of course , you are just not so.... I don't know." Christian pouts at me "When so we leave?" I change the subject "Whenever you want." I squeal slightly "Can we leave now?" He gives me a boyish grin "Go pack and we'll leave." I kiss his soft lips before heading back to the bedroom.

Christian drives smoothly down a highway , we've been in the car a little over an hour. Huge pine trees cover both sides of the highway , I gaze out the window my stomach in a knot. I'm so nervous. Christian grabs my hand bringing it to his lips "You are nervous." He points out glancing at me , I sigh shaking my head "I'm excited , I promise." He gives me a pointed look "Blake I......... the council called me." His words make me nauseous "What did they say?" My tone is ten times higher than usual , Christian sighs deeply "They gave me a warning , it really wasn't a big deal. I'm just pissed that she even called!" He exclaims , I nod "She's such an evil person." My wolf snarls at the thought of my mother.

"So nothing happened to your alpha title?" Please say no. Christian laughs "Of course not , I donate so much money to them I practically own them." I breathe a sigh of relief , glancing out the window again.
Christian is quiet for a moment "Jackson has a thing for you." I gasp "What?" I play dumb. Christian rolls his eyes "Don't okay dumb , I really don't blame him. " I raise an eyebrow "You are delicious." He winks , I hit his arm playfully "Don't say that , Jackson is confused." My wolf rolls her eyes at me "More like obsessed." I look at Christian my stomach turning "You don't think he would.." hurt me?

Christian scowls "No , he's not that stupid." I bite my lower lip , the thought of Jackson's feelings for me make me feel dirty. "Let's not talk about anyone but us for this weekend." I prompt , Christian sighs "I agree baby." He kisses my hand.

After about another hour we stop in front of a huge black steel gate. Christian rolls down his window and presses in a code , the huge gates at least twenty feet tall screech open. Christian drives smoothly through them , I look out the window. Huge pine trees, lush green grass, beautiful rose bushes and the lake appear on both sides. I gasp in awe , we drive about a half mile before a huge log cabin appears.

"We have arrived." Christian puts the Audi in park and hops out walking around and opening my door. I slowly get out looking at the beautiful house in front of me , large stones line the pathway up the the front door. Christian pulls at a key opening the door and gesturing for me to enter first.

The front door opens up to a foyer, the floor is a beautiful distressed hardwood , the walls are  a rich emerald color and a beautiful wooden staircase is center in the foyer. I inhale deeply at the smell of cinnamon and apple , I feel at home immediately. Two hands find my waist "What do you think?" I grin "This is beautiful." Christian kisses my cheek "Let me give you a tour." I nod eagerly following after him.

The kitchen is a rich plum color with white everything, but what really catches my eye is the view. I gaze out the window above the farm sink , a huge dock complete with a boat not  to the mention the Olympic size pool complete with a slide.
The bedroom upstairs are beautiful all painted a rich red color with wood furnishings , Christian leads me to the theatre  room then the game room and finally we reach the end of the hall.

Two huge mahogany double doors appear in front of me "This is where we will be sleeping." Christian whispers beside me almost nervous. He slowly opens the door , a king size bed  fitted with candy apple red sheets , a beautiful mahogany dresser , a Persian cream rug and a small seating area appears in front of me. I'm in awe I wonder around the room spotting pictures of baby Christian "Awe." I pick one of the sliver picture frames , Christian can't be older than two months. He's laying on the bed in a Christmas outfit smiling "My family spends Christmas here." Christian explains "You were so adorable." He shakes his head "Mm" I smile at him setting the picture down and looking out the huge windows. There is the view again but this time it is of a garden with lush green grass  , a rose bush and a swing set.

Christian grabs me by my waist kissing my lips roughly , I wrap my arms around his neck holding on tightly. Christian pulls back staring into my eyes "I'm beyond happy." His words make me smile , I steal another kiss "Me too." 

Christian picks me up and spins me around the room kissing my lips "Christian!" I laugh , he smirks at me before setting me back down. He kisses me again before looking serious "I don't want to continue this weekend without something." My heart beats faster and my plans begin to sweat "What?" My wolf perks her ears.
Christian smiles softly at me "Close your eyes." I swallow thickly closing my eyes tightly "If you peak I'll be very upset." He teases kissing my cheeks. I feel him shuffle around before there is silence.

My heart pounds in my chest and I have to place my hands over my eyes to keep from looking.
"Okay,  open your eyes."

I peak open one eye at a time , I don't see him at first then I look down.

Christian is kneeling on one knee smiling up at me, I gasp "Blake , I've never knew what it felt like to love someone they way I love you. You are my sun, my moon , my heart , most importantly my mate and I can't imagine myself without. Will you do the honor of becoming my wife?" He pulls a beautiful sapphire diamond ring. Tears spring into my eyes and I nod slowly "Yes." My voice cracks. Christian smiles widely coming up from his knee, he slips the diamond on my ring finger then kisses my lips.

I wrap my arms around him smiling into the kiss "You make me beyond happy." I whisper
against his mouth , Christian places a soft kiss on lips before pulling back a little bit "Blake , I just want you to know I regret the way I treated you more than you know. And I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you." My heart melts and my wolf howls happily.

I nod caressing his face with my hand "I know Christian." And I do.

Christian smiles at me "I'm so glad you said yes." I laugh shaking my head "Why wouldn't I?" He shrugs grabbing my hand and kissing my ring "The ring is gorgeous!" I gush , "Only the best for you." I grin at up at him. "You are going to be my wife." Christian whispers as if to make sure I'm agreeing. I beam up at him "And you are going to be my husband." My heart almost explodes with love.

This man , my mate , my Christian is going to be my husband. I can't believe that after everything we've gone through we finally get to enjoy our life together.

I'm going to be wrapping up the story in the next chapter (it will be a short one) but I plan on doing a sequel! I'm already in the process of writing the first few chapters , so I hope you guys will follow the next chapter of Blake and Christian!
