Chapter 8:'ohhhhhh so thats how i got here'

(A/n) still Toothlesses pov but will go back to Yui's)

A day has past and we're still on the Island. Yui and her friend are still unconscious but I have been told that they both are stable but it's a miracle that Yui is still alive as she had enough poison in her bloodstream to badly inflicted a Bewilderbeast.

Right now I'm laying next to Yui near a small fire watching her slow and steady breaths and she sleeps, her scales shimmer with the flickering of the fire. On the other side a grown sounded as the Natter slowly woke, still laying down she looks around her till her eyes land on me and Yui who is curled up next to me as I cover her slightly with my wing and my tale around her in a protective manner.

The Natter looks at me then Yui, then back to me again then sends me a smirk and a knowing look, now seeming fully awake. It was only me, Yui and the Natter in the caves as everyone other then Hiccup and Astrid who were on top of the cave talking and thinking of a plan. Everyone else decided to go explore the island as no one has ever been here before.

"Sooo..... your the one she was talking about in her sleep..." the Natter said slowly with a teasing grin catching me off guard, "W-what...?" I say starting to feel my face heat up at what she said

"Mhmm she was calling to you in her sleep saying' Tothless... Tothless... why do I feel this way..' or something like that, must have been an interesting dream she was having huh?" She said tilting her head to the side deep in thought. I looked down at the sleeping Yui as she gently breaths" feel what way..?" I think as she slightly moves in her sleep closer to me, my cheeks heat farther when I hear her gently breath out my name.

A couple hours pass and I fell asleep along with the Natter who's name I found out was Violet. I rest there with my eyes closed listening to Yui's heart beating next to me, but like all good things something happens to ruin them.

"Hiccup what are you doing?" Says a whispering Astrid from somewhere to other side Of the cave,

"I'm drawing them for a picture for the book of dragons and my mum so shh you'll wake them" says Hiccup from the same place as well as the faint scratching of his pencil while I fight the urge to throw a death glare there way because I was really enjoying the moment, embarrassing, but enjoyable.

The next day the group made a net to carry Yui and Violet as Yui was unconscious and Violet was still under the effects of the poison so couldn't fly by herself. On the way back to Berk Astrid, Hiccup and Fishlegs were having a deduction about me and Yui being the only mating pare left and the chance of us having pups which the hole time I was so red I would make a lantern in a cave jealous which gave the opportunity for Hookfang to tease me about it.. constantly... the hole way home...

When we arrive Hiccups mother Valka was very exited to see Yui and she said that she should have had black or dark blue scales and that having white scales would have made her picked on by her pack and at some point in time banished from the pack or even worse she could have been killed as a hatchling because of her oddly coloured scales which made me feel angrily and sad at the thought, angrily because they would discriminate her because of her scale colour and sad because her life must have been hard.

After Gobber and Valka treated Yui for her wounds and gave her something for the poison we moved her into the pens in the academy's training grounds so if she wakes up and gets out she won't try to fly off or scare the villagers.

Right now I'm talking to Violet about there past and what happened,

"Yui found me in a cave when i was seven after my family was killed by a rival pack that was after my packs territory and I was the only one that survived. Yui was only nine then but was still with her pack when she found me and since then she has been like a older sister to me.

Her father was the pack Alfa but despised Yui because of her scales, the only ones that kept her in the pack were her mother and grandmother who protected her since she hatched because what that Valka woman said her father did try to kill her as a pup because he sore her as weak and useless due to her scales even though she was the second one in her litter to hatch.

The year after I was taken in Yui was learning to fly but struggled the first week making her father, Egil, lose his patience  with her-" Violet was cut of by a high pitched scream from Astrid calling Hiccups name.

We shared a glance then ran or quickly walked in Violets case to the arena, when we got there Stormfly was looking madly at Yui who looked like was about to blow a fuse, Astrid kneeling next to Hiccup and everyone else on edge.

Yui yelled getting on her feet " someone better explain what's going on here!!"

So I walked in between Stormfly and Yui and replied "Well I guess I will have to in lighten you on your current situation huh?. But I'll only do so if you promise not to try to kill anyone deal?" I said smartly as she stares silently at me.

After we got her to charm down I told her a shorter version of what happened taking out me and Violet's conversation on their island and the talk on the way to Berk that everyone seemed to enjoy trying to bring up to get a death glare from me or whacked with me tail for trying. "I don't see this ending any time soon... just great" I thing with a sigh at the thought

I apologise for not updating for a couple of weeks as at home I have been helping with the redecorating of my house at it has been so time consuming 😓 but worth it in the end!
