Niall's POV
It's been three days since I got back home here and I'll be flying back to UK in less than 20 hours. Apparently, I have been skipping all of my classes, including my Glee Club practices & performances and my Football practices & matches since my X Factor audition. But now, for the first time again, I'm here inside the Principal's Office, about to talk to our Principal along with my parents, to decide whether or not to go to school anymore.
"School's important but this kind of opportunity that is given to me is one-in-a-million." I answer after the Principal asked me. "I can go back to school anytime I want but this, if I let it slip through my fingertips, there's no way I could ever get it back. Not a chance."
"The decision's on you, Niall." The Principal tells me and I look at my parents. "If that's what you want, then go for it. I do not want that opportunity to take away from you though I would be upset for one of my achievers and an active student is going to leave."
"Thank you, Sir." I smile in relief.
"I'm a fan of yours, already, Niall!"
"Wow, thanks!" I say, still smiling. "I want to pursue what I have right now. I'll go back here if I fail out there. Anyway, education is everywhere, even if I'm not in school. I could learn it from my parents, from my friends. I could learn it all by myself, too."
"Okay. I guess we're done here." The Principal stands up and shakes hand with Bobby, then Maura. "Good luck out there, mister!"

"Knock, knock!" I say at the same time knocking at the door of Thalia's house. We have not talked for a while and it sucks. And how can I not miss her? She's my best friend! We grew up together and she knows me better than I know my own self. The door knob twitches and I see Thalia's mother standing in front of me. "Oh, hi."
"Nialler." She utters as she stares at me behind her reading glasses. She looks like a very terror teacher but she's actually a mellow woman, a caring teacher, and a sweet-loving single mother of four.
"Uhm ... is Thalia there?"
"She's not around right now." She pouts.
"Oh." I utter, feeling a little bit disappointed as I was looking forward to see her again. I don't want to ask this next question to her but I have to so ... "Is she with Marc?"
"Oh, no, no." She smiles. "She doesn't hang out with him anymore."
What?! Yes! "Why? I mean, her and Marc are ... you know, something? A thing?" I ask hesitantly but I'm eager to know why.
"Aw, Niall, you're cute when you're jealous." She teases.
"What? No, Zaida! I'm not!" I feel my cheeks burn in embarrassment so I try to laugh it off.
She chuckles, ain't convinced of what I've just told her. "She's at the Waffle House, she works there."
"Since when?"
"A couple of days ago, I think."
"Okay. Thank you, Zaida!" I say as I peck a kiss on her cheek.
"Good luck!" She tells me. Good luck? What for? Oh! Maybe she's wishing me a good luck for my new career. "Yeah, thanks! By the way, I'm leaving tomorrow."
"Good luck out there, sweetheart!" She smiles and closes the door.
**********
It's 6:58pm as I reached the block where the Waffle House is located, 30 minutes before its closing. God, we drove past here earlier when I went to talk to my principal!
