Thalia's POV

Another year passed by as fast as a blink of an eye. My 2013 was filled with school works, class presentations and demos. I was busy that I did not realize that it's already May, it's already summer in the Philippines!

And summer means vacation!

And as planned, I'm taking a vacation back in my hometown, Mullingar. But I'll be back after a week or so because I have so many pending school works to be done and my life is here now.

I just arrived in our house here in Mullingar. Home sweet home to me! I freaking missed this place I still and forever I will call home. I sit on the couch and I take some deep breathes.

"Knock, knock!" I hear a familiar man's voice outside the house. He did not knock, he just literally said 'knock, knock'. Who else could that be? Lol.

"Willie!" I greet him the moment I open the door. I then hug him.

"Aww, I miss you too!" He hugs me back. "But first ... happy birthday to me!"

"Oh my god, yes!" I flinch, realizing today is his birthday! "Happy birthday!"

"Yeah, thanks for forgetting it!" He playfully rolls his eyes at me. "Anyway, " He inhales. "I'm celebrating my birthday tonight with my girlfriend, Greg, and a few friends."

"Good, that's great!"

"I know and you're coming!" He tells me in demand. "No buts!"

We are at a beach somewhere here on the outskirts of Ireland and if there's a word to describe this place, I will say it's breath-taking.

With me is the birthday celebrator himself, Willie; his girlfriend, Alice, and her friend who happened to be Alliyah-the girl Niall had an ultimate crush on and the girl who's almost his ex-girlfriend when we were still in school; Greg and his long-term girlfriend and now his fiancé, Denisse; and Willie's younger sister, Kylie.

We find our team a perfect spot to make a bonfire beside the shore after we placed our stuffs in our rooms. Willie and Greg prepared the bonfire while the rest of us prepared the foods.

The birthday celebrator ignites a fine and we settle around it.

"So, how's the Philippines?" Greg asks me.

"Pretty hot!" I laugh. "But it's a beautiful place."

I'm not the one who is celebrating a birthday here but it's like I am and it's like I am in a live interview.

They asked me about my life there, what I do there and how I am making a life there. They asked me about my school, the people there, the foods, my friends and they even asked me about my love life. Kevin and I are still together and we actually just celebrated our first anniversary four months ago.

"Am I late?" Someone asks out of nowhere.

And all of a sudden, I feel weak.

"Niall!" I shout in both awe and excitement.
