Thalia's POV

"Merry Christmas!" Exactly 12 midnight, everyone greet everyone as they shout 'Merry Christmas' at the top of their lungs with some red cups raised up to their reaches.

I receive simultaneous Christmas greetings, hugs, and kisses from almost everyone in this house I always call home while I return their greetings to them with the best smile I could pull out after Kevin and I called it quits eight months ago.

Something's missing ...

Someone's missing ...

"Merry Christmas, Sweetheart!" My mother walks towards me with open arms and a huge smile plastered on her face.

"Merry Christmas, Mum!" I hug her as tight as it could be. "I missed you." I manage to say with teary eyes.

"I'm so glad you're finally here!" She murmurs against my neck and as her ticklish daughter, I flinch and pull away from her. She laughs.

"Wow!" I hear a very familiar voice and I look around, only to find two out of three of my older brothers; the twins, John and Bryan.

"John! Bryan!" I run towards them and hug them both. I couldn't explain how much I missed the twins.

"Ah!" Bryan groans. "How are you?"

"Well," I squeeze myself out of our bone-crushing hug. "It's been three months since I don't cry myself to sleep anymore." I laugh over Kevin and I's breakup. No, it's not that I'm happy that I'm finally free. God, I loved him-he was my first boyfriend, my almost everything. But I'm laughing because finally? I'm okay now.

"Good, good." John scratches my head by his palm, messing my hair. "Merry Christmas to my little sister!" He announces and once again hugs me.

"Merry Christmas to the both of you." I smile.

"We have a surprise for you." My mother taps me on my right shoulder and my brothers let me go.

"Oh, no! Trouble!" The eldest brother of mine beams with a beer in his hand.

"Kim!" Like a kid, I run towards him as if he is Santa Claus. I have not seen him for a very long time-maybe twice as long as I haven't celebrated Christmases and New Years with the family.

"Oh my, Thalia, you're crying." Kim cups my head so our eyes could meet and I really don't mind crying right now. This is a reunion! "It's Christmas, don't cry!" He pouts.

"Tears of joy." I inform him.

It's one a.m. but this Christmas celebration is no way to die yet I am since I wasn't able to get a nice sleep last night. Everyone is dancing to an upbeat but Christmas-sy song playing loud inside the house while I'm sitting on the 3rd step of the staircase of the house-our house, our home.

"Hi?" Someone speaks out in a soft voice.

Pulling my hands away from my face since I was trying to steal a nap while everyone is celebrating, I look at whoever is in front of me. "You!"

"The one and only." The man in maroon sweater smiles at me. "Merry Christmas, Thalia."

"Merry Christmas, Niall." Without a cue, this favorite person of mine pulls me up. Suddenly, we are a couple of inches close to each other. And as much as I want to shout 'I miss you' at his face, I end up hugging him.
