Thalia's POV

Today is the third week of January 2013 and the school is celebrating its Course Fair 2013. It's an annual celebration, like a festival, showcasing and showing off every course's skills, abilities, talents and all. Our university is the 2nd biggest school in the Philippines, no doubt we have amusement park with different rides, horror house, food stools, booths with every kind of amusement and entertainment from every courses for everyone, live bands, simultaneous seminars, games and performances and so much more, happening today that will last until the weekend.

Everyone unites and everyone is having fun, including me who happens to witness all of this just for the first time. It's fun here with all of these and a week off from classes but I'm not participating. I'm on my monthly period right now which is preventing me from doing anything but sit down on the step of the stairs, facing the rides while listening to everybody screaming and watching them having fun.

And today is my 19th birthday.

"Where are you?" As soon as I answer the call from my phone, Kevin questions me.

"Building 8's staircase." I reply, chuckling over the fact that I look so lonely here. "Facing the amusement." I add as my stomach twitches in pain. "Ouch."

Kevin addresses what I feel right now, making him worry. "What's happening?"

"Girls' day!" I roll my eyes in annoyance.

"Oh." He utters. "Should I bring you something? Like, chocolates? Ice creams? Anything? Just tell me, I'm on my way."

"I'll be fine, Kev. Tricia's on her way too, she bought me some meds."

"Sure?"

"Yeah."

"Okay then. See you in a bit, bye."

"Hi, I'm here. Was that Kevin?" Tricia appears in front of me-with a bag of, I assume, what I asked her to buy-right after Kevin and I ended our phone conversation.

"Yep." I smile in between the twitches of my stomach.

"Here is your medicine and your water." Tricia handed me a pain reliever and a bottle of mineral water as she sits beside me and I drink both at once.

"Thanks." I tell her and she nods in response.

"So," Tricia utters and I face her. "Where's your man?"

Two months after my first dinner date with Kevin, I answered him. After those dinner and movie dates, badminton and swimming lessons, don't forget the cooking and eating sessions, traveling in and out of town; after those countless corny jokes and endless annoying pokes, after those sleepless nights of studying or just nonsense talking, but most importantly, after he proved himself to me and how happy I could be whenever I'm with him, I thought that it's time to open my heart ... again. And I'm confidently ready.

"Popcorns and pizzas!" Tricia cheered with five bags of popcorns and three boxes of pizzas as she climbed up beside me at the back of Troy's pickup truck. "One for my best friend, one for her whatever," She chuckled and we laughed. ", one for my big bro and two for me!" She announced while she was giving each of us a bag of popcorns.

"Nice! Two for you!" I said sarcastically.

"Very nice." She replied with the same tone as mine.
