Sam was the first to wake up and saw Gabe with his hair in his face laying next to him.
He brushed Gabe's hair out of his face and gave him a light kiss on the lips.
Gabe woke up and pulled Sam's face closer to his and kissed back.
After what felt like ten minutes Sam pulled away and looked Gabe in the eyes keeping their foreheads together.
"You're an angel. You know that?"
Gabe smiled and shook his head, "I'm really not Sam. But thank you for thinking that."
"No really, you got me through all of this and I can't thank you enough."
Sam kissed him and stayed in bed for just a little longer not wanting to get up and face reality.
When Cas woke up he couldn't move out of Dean's grip around his waist so he stayed until his grip loosened.
Eventually Dean rolled over and Cas got up and went downstairs to make breakfast.
He started making pancakes and bacon, the classic that Mrs. Winchester would always make for them.
As he put everything on the plate he saw Sam and Gabe run down the stairs looking for the smell.
"Did you boys have fun last night?"
He pointed to their boxers and both of them started to blush. Gabe spoke up,
"We weren't doing anything.."Cas snorted, "Right well start eating, the police are coming back today."
Both boys sat down and started eating the food.
Cas went upstairs to get Dean. As he opened the door he saw Dean still sleeping, he shook him gently trying to wake him.
"Hey Dean?"
Dean opened his eyes slowly and sat up,
"Yeah?""I made breakfast for everyone, why don't you come downstairs and eat."
Dean looked at him and nodded.
As they got down the stairs Dean noticed a package near the front door.As he got closer he saw a note attached.
Dean, If only your parents could tell you about their past. You'd be quiet surprised.
Love,
AlistarDean felt rage build up inside him and he ripped open the package, before he could think of what could be inside he saw a couple guns, some knives, and a journal.
"What the fuck?! Why would my parents have this?"
Cas came up behind Dean and saw everything. Before he could say anything Sam and Gabe ran into the room and looked in disbelief.
"It may not be theirs Dean."
Cas tried to reassure Dean but when Dean opened the journal he saw it was his father's handwriting.Tears formed in his eyes. "No Cas, it's his."
Cas didn't know what to say so he just hugged Dean from behind and tried to comfort him.
Sam was too confused to function, he felt sick he might throw up his breakfast.
No.
He had to be strong for them, whatever the reason for having this could, is, reasonable.
He turned to Gabe and saw the same blank stare that he had a moment ago.
"Come on, we gotta do some research."
Gabe didn't try to stop him. He just followed and thought of the many reasons they could have this stuff.
Dean read some of the first entries and was horrified at what he read.
"Demons? Monsters? What the fuck?"
Cas couldn't wrap his head around this and just stayed next to Dean.
"My Mom always told me to not believe but here my Dad is writing about them!"
Dean closed the journal and shoved the box in his closet of his bedroom.
What was he gonna tell the police- the police. Would they search his house? What if they found all that? What would they say? Would he go to jail? Would he be leaving Sammy all alone?
No, he couldn't do that, his parents must have hid this stuff somewhere.
He hated to do this but he went into his parents room.
Everything looked normal.
Nothing was out of the ordinary. Except for the closet. When he opened the closet door it looked pretty normal except for an opened panel in the wall.
Who opened it? That's where the stuff must have come from but did Alistar really come into his house and get the stuff out?
He couldn't think horrifying thoughts like that he just had to put the stuff back. He kept the journal in his desk.
He would come up with an excuse if the police looked at it.
He walked out of the room and sat down on the couch next to Cas, he waited for the knock at the door.
It was two hours before the knock came and as soon as it came he heard the voice of a familiar woman. "Hey Dean? We need to ask a few more questions if that's alright."
Jody.
Dean trusted her. He kind of yelled at her and that was his only interaction with her but he really did trust her.
It was something about her that was trustworthy but he couldn't decide what it was.
He got up to open the door and was greeted with a friendly smile.
"Hey Dean. May we come in?"
Dean nodded and opened the door for them to enter.
"I'm sorry to bother you again, but we need to ask a few questions on what you saw if you don't mind."
Dean's face contorted into every negative emotion as he remembered the horrible scene that he saw.
"Please don't say anything if it's too painful to remember."
"No, no it's fine. I have to tell you everything."
Jody nodded and walked to the living room with Dean.
"Oh Dean, this is my partner. Bobby Singer."
Bobby stuck his hand out for Dean to shake, "Nice to meet ya boy."
Dean smiled and nodded and sat down next to Cas again taking his hand for comfort.
"Alright Dean we want you to tell us exactly what you saw. But please don't strain yourself. If it's too upsetting you don't have to tell us."
"Alright." Dean took a deep breath and started to talk not sparing a detail.
He wanted them to know exactly how desperate he was to find Alistar and why it was so important.
He could see the horror on Jody and Bobby's face but he kept going.
By the end he had tears streaming down his face and he could see Jody's eyes glistening with tears.
She cleared her throat and spoke, "Well Dean, I'm very sorry you had to see that. It sounds horrible just please don't hesitate to talk to either of us if you need any help with anything."
She gave him a sad smile and she and Bobby shook his and Castiel's hand.
"Have a nice day boys." This was only the second time Bobby spoke but you could hear the kindness and sympathy in his voice.
As they left Dean went back upstairs to read the journal more.
Cas stayed behind to watch some TV to get his mind off things.
It was going to be a long time before things could go back to normal.
