I Need You

Chapter 9

Sam woke up hoping everything was one bad nightmare.

To no avail he was still in this stuffy old basement with Gabe.

He knew his brother and Cas didn't forget about him. Or at least he hoped he wouldn't. So they would be here soon. He hoped.

It seemed all he could do at this point was hope, even when there was no ray of light that proved hope was still present.

Gabe was still next to Sam but he was lonely. It's not because Gabe was asleep. No. That wasn't it.

He wanted his brother back and he couldn't escape these restraints on his wrists and ankles.

They looked like any old worn out rope, so why do these ones hold when they obviously have been used so much beyond repair.

Sam closed his eyes and thought of all the possible escape routes.

There was one window in the back of the room. Sam was facing away from the light but that was they only thing letting in light at the moment.

That could be of some use.

The only other escape path would be through the door to upstairs.

Gabe started to stir awake, he started mumbling something then his head bolted upright and he looked around frantically until his eyes fell on Sam.

"Oh Sam thank god! Your ok!"

"Of course I'm ok, I don't think Alistar would kill me in my sleep."

Sam tried to sound convincing but got a little choked up on his words.

Alistar could easily be rid of them so why not take them out during their slumber?

"No Sam I mean, I had a nightmare and it was horrible," Gabe now had tears in his eyes,
"Alistar started to torture you beyond the limit anyone could withstand. Y-your screams were a-awful a-and I didn't know what to do. Sam I s-saw you d-die!"

Gabe spat out the last word like it was poison on his tongue.

"But look, I'm right here not dead, pay attention to me now got it?"

Gabe nodded and sniffed. He probably shouldn't be crying when Alistar came downstairs.

Sam and Gabe shared a look they knew the answer to.

Would Alsitar come downstairs? Of course but when was a little iffy. He did have a schedule so if they had to stay for an extra day they would know what to except or at least when he would come back downstairs.

Cas woke up with a smile that soon faded along with his perfect dream world of him and Dean living together with a big happy family.

Sam and Gabe were happily dating and he and Dean had a kid or two.

Nothing could have been more perfect.. then he had to go and wake up.

Maybe staying in that sleep state was a good way go.

No he would never replace his Dean with some imaginary one from his mind.

He gently shook Dean and told him they had to get up.

Dean sat up in bed and gave Cas a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm going to take a shower. Your welcome to come save some water if you want." Dean had a little smirk on his face which made Castiel laugh.

"As much as I'd love to help you save some water I have to go find some breakfast before we go."
