Don't read if you hate people speaking their mind :>

Mrs. Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children is basically a rip-off of X-Men??
I've been reading the book, and even though the plot is slightly different, I feel like I'm basically watching X-Men again reading it.

X-Men was first published in September of 1963 and is still popular today after fourth years, Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children was released in June of 2011, and is still popular.

What X-Men is about: A school full of children with special powers that are sought after by society. They are also against a supervillain named Magneto.

What Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children Is About: A school full of children with special powers that are sought after by society. They are also against a group of creatures called "Hollows".

That's a very loose plot of both. Seem familiar?

While specific details differ, reading the book really felt like watching X-Men, and somehow, Miss Peregrines home for peculiar children is getting more media promotion than any X-Men movie (Other than X-Men Days of Future Past, which was dubbed by multiple sources from around the 3-7 most popular Marvel movie.) which I think is ridiculous considering they are basically the same thing other than characters and specifics.

Both have Nazis playing large roles, both have main characters with the same personalities, both have normal humans looking down upon them, both have a special school, both have the government after them, ect.

Sorry but every time I see a commercial on the TV for I it I get more pissed off.
