Prologue - Andys P.O.V
I walk though the door of the music store, it doesn't look any different to what it did last week when we were here. Shaun immediately heads for the new releases while I plan to just have brisk look around the whole store.
As I glance at the counter I realise it's not the same person working as usual. I can't see her face as she's turned the other way, all I see is her long golden-blonde ponytail. She reminds me of someone I know, but I don't exactly know who.
I look away just incase she turns around and finds me looking, and slighty skim through a stack of CDs.
I jump as I'm startled by Shauns sudden presence beside me.
"Isn't that Issy from School?" he whispers.
I glance up, he's right.
Isabel Camerons moved to our school two years ago, we have never spoken a word to each other. That doesn't mean I haven't noticed her, most of the guys at my school have. She's beautiful, unlike anyone I've laid eyes on.
Her big blue eyes make their way to mine as her face softens into a smile, she then smiles at Shaun.
"let's go talk to her" Shaun grabs my arm, pulling me in her direction.
Chapter one:
It's my fifth day at my new job at my local cd store, nothing remotely interesting has happened until this afternoon.
A current customer is Andy Clemmensen accompanied by one of his supposedly close friends Shaun Diviney. You could say I have a thing for Andy, but he's off limits. His girlfriend is kind of a big deal at our school.
I finished filling in an order and in my peripheral vision I notice them both walking my way. I put my pen down and look at them as they approach. They stop at the counter.
"Hi, I'm Shaun" he says, his emerald green eyes gleam as he brushes a hand through his long-ish brown hair.'
"and I'm Andy" Andy says not long after whilst showcasing his perfect smile.
"I'm Isabel, but you can just call me Issy"
Shaun smiles now too.
"Can I help you with anything?' I offer politely.
"Yes" Shaun begins. "I'm after Blink 182's album Enema Of The State"
He likes Blink 182. I like him already.
"I think we just sold out of that one, I'll just double check for you" I inform him. I type the name of the album into the filing system in the computer. I get the immediate answer of 'out of stock', just as I thought.
"Yeah, we're sold out" I say sympathetically.
He subtly groans in disappointment.
"I could put an order in, if you'd like"
He takes a brief moment to think. "I think I'll do that".
I return his smile and then glance at Andy who's eyes have been on my face the whole time. He looks away as he realises.
I proceed to find Shaun a contact form to fill out, I find one then offer him my pen and he begins to fill it out.
When he's finished he hands me the pen. "Thanks for that" he says sounding grateful.
"My pleasure" I smile. "I'll give you a call as soon as it comes in"
They proceed to the front door of the store, Shaun waves goodbye.
"I'll see you at school tomorrow" he reminds me.
"Unfortunately" I respond, they both laugh.
"It was nice to finally meet you Issy" Andy calls out half way out the door.
"You too Andy"
I watch them walk around the corner and out of my sight.
