Shauns P.O.V

It's another rainy Wednesday morning, but on the plus side, there's only a couple more days until the year twelve formal. I've landed myself a date, I asked Emma yesterday.

I hear Andys car horn. I sprint downstairs knowing for a fact that if I'm not quick enough he'll leave me behind. As I finally make it outside he pretends to reverse just as he sees me, I pull the finger at him and I can see him laugh through the crystal clear windshield. It sickens me how much he cares for that car.

I open the passenger door and take a seat. "Good morning Diviney" he greets me.

"Good morning asshole" I reply. He chuckles, he seems fine considering the whole 'Beth' situtation yesterday. I knew for a fact that Beth can be a cold person but Andy didn't deserve what she did to him. He always looked out for her, I feel sorry for him.

"So, what's it like being a single man again?" I ask immediately.

He bites his lip piercing and pulls in half out with his teeth, then sucks it back in from inside his mouth, It repulses me when he does it.

"It sucks a lot actually" he finally replies too concentrated on the road, probably scared he'll smash his precious car.

We pull up to the first set of traffic lights. "It's a good thing you won't be single much longer" I say, knowing it'll immediately confuse him.

My theory is in fact correct, he turns his head and looks at me with the most confused, questioning face. "What do you mean?"

"You're going to ask Isabel to the ball" I demand as though not giving him an option.

"Nooooo way" he shakes his head as he answers.

"Why not?" I give a cold stare, he looks so shocked that I even mentioned it.

He looks at me again. "She wont want to go with me"

I laugh merely because I know for a fact she does.

"I have a feeling she does" I hint contradicting my thoughts, trying to lift his hope a little.

"I have a feeling your feeling is wrong" he protests. It annoys me how head strong he is, when he has something in his head he won't let it go.

"What if I say that I know for a fact she does?" I realise I've given out a bit too much information, but it's too late to take anything back. He's my bestfriend anyways and I know it'll make him happy to know.

"Did she say something to you?" he questions, he sounds completely interested now.

"She may have, she may not have" I look away from him and out the window, showing him I don't intend to go further with the topic... unless he asks.

"Don't play around with me Shaun, what'd she say?" the intensity of his voice makes me laugh as I know I've won, but rather then messing with him further I decide to just come out with it. Isabel said not to say 'a word'. Technically, I'm telling him in multiple words.

"She said she likes you"

"Are you lieing to me Shaun?" he says biting his piercing again, I slap him and he hisses with pain.

I chuckle. "I'm not, I swear"

I can tell he's content with what he's heard although we don't discuss the topic further.

Andy pulls in to his regular spot in the school car park. He fixes his hair in the rear view mirror, I slap him across the head messing it up. He hits my shoulder and I scowl, he begins fixing his hair again.

We then exit the car and make our way through the gate and into the year twelve area. The first thing noticeble is Isabel and her group of friends. Isabel is stunning, but I hope that's not the only reason Andy's into her. She's a great girl. As she catches my eye she waves, with her perfect warm smile on her face. Honestly, I do have a thing for her, but I would never betray Andy and I now know who it is she wants.
