It's Monday, for some reason I have a strong feeling that today could be really awkward. A whole day has passed and I'm still in shock from what I heard Saturday night. I remember hearing them loud and clear, arguing about... me. I've only known them a week and I've already caused trouble.

I walk into school and avoid making eye contact with anyone but Emma and Kate. I didn't even tell them what I heard, and I usually tell them everything. To take my mind off of it I tune into their conversation about what they did on the weekend. When they ask what I did I simply said I baby sat.

The morning classes go quick as per usual, you'd think It'd go slow with all this intense thinking.

It's lunch time and I sit at the bench alone waiting for somebody to join me. I'm in luck, I feel a light tap on my shoulder. I'm not surprised to turn around and see Shaun, I'd expect he would've come to talk to me sometime today.

"Can we talk?" he asks sincerely.

I try to make an excuse, the best I can come up with is 'I have to meet Emma at the canteen' but he knows I'm lying.

"Please?" he says, big cheesy grin on his face. "It'll only be a few minutes"

I pat the bench next to me gesturing for him to sit.

He looks at me intensly.

"I know you came Saturday night" he brings up the topic I tried extremely hard to ignore.

"How?"

"You left the letter" he says camly.

"That could've been anybody"

"True, but I asked the bouncer. He said he let you in"

I take a deep breath. "I'm sorry I lied" I mean what I say, I am sorry I lied.

"If I heard what you did I would've lied too, don't worry" he's so understanding, but it's expected. If I've learned anything this past week it's that Shaun is incredibly understanding.

"I just wanted to say, Andy doesn't know that you know..." I understand what he means straight away. I wonder what would happen if Andy knew the feeling is mutual.

"Does he really" I begin, but he interrupts.

"Like you? yeah"

I smile. He smiles.

"Do you..."

I finish his sentence. "Like Andy?" but this time there's a pause.

A grin forms on his face from cheek to cheek. "You can tell me Issy"

I bite my lip and avoid eye contact with him. I nod my head.

His grin grows impossibly bigger, my cheeks become impossibly redder. "No way, how long have you liked him?"

I roll my eyes. "I think I've said enough"

"No you haven't, how long?" he persists.

"A while" I say, not giving too much away.

He laughs "This is gold".

"You will not say one word, to anyone"

"And if I do" he says cheekily.

"I'll kick your butt" I threaten.

"Okay, okay" he agrees.

As Emma arrives from the canteen he excuses himself to go sit at his table. I watch him leave and when Bradies gaze meets mine he waves and smiles. He's such a sweetheart. I'm surprised to also get a sympathetic smile from Andy, it's far different to the blank expressions he gave me last week.

The bell goes and I head to class, the last class I have today.
