So, there's this thing where you describe yourself with any three fictional characters that's really popular, so I thought I would join the bandwagon and set on a quest to see how I can choose from a million characters and make myself look good while being able to justify it. It was a LOT harder than I thought it was gonna be, just saying. This is a warning to all those who dare to try this: you WILL have a tough time choosing characters that you relate, not that you like and are utterly obsessed with.
Anyways, I figured that trying to go through every fictional character I know would kill me before I got the chance to see what who fits me best, so I went the easy way and took personality tests to see what results I got, and even that was hard because there's so many groupings and movies and fandoms to choose from. Woah, that was a total nerd moment. So, while I will explain my process and reasoning behind my characters, I'm gonna save the suspense and tell you right now what characters make up myself. They are......
Peter Pan, Richard Waterson, and Sherlock Holmes.
Naturally, I took a Disney personality quiz first, because everyone knows different and there's a lot of unique characters with unique personalities, so it should be able to produce an accurate result. A million questions later, I ended up with Peter Pan. Quite honestly, I forgot he existed throughout the quiz, but when I thought about it, I can relate to him. I enjoy acting like a kid, and I feel like we have the same adventurous and curious perspective of everything. He can fly and lives in an imaginary place outside of Earth, I tend to zone out and wanderlust beyond this dimension.....it makes sense. If only I could fly.....be able to travel to another magical world would be pretty nice as well.
After that, I was kind of at a stump. Disney was so generic, I felt like trying to choose another Disney character would be cheating. While trying to think, I turned on the television, where I was given a Cartoon Network commercial for The Amazing World of Gumball. I am OBSESSED with the show, and it was the perfect place to find a second character. Once again, I took a quiz that would match me with a character, where I was met with a giant photo of Richard Waterson, who plays the father in the cartoon. For those who don't know, Richard is a giant pink bunny who is known for his extreme laziness, extreme hunger, and his ability to destroy everything in the most innocent way possible. I definitely see myself in him; I am also constantly hungry and in a perpetual state of "selective participation", and I'm so clumsy I should probably live in a giant bubble. However, Richard also has a big heart and a deep passion to help others and to be a genuine, wholehearted person. I also have a huge place in my heart reserved for kindness and being positive, and I always strive to be at least a decent, tolerable being. Bunnies aren't so bad.
Finally, in a desperate attempt to post this at a reasonable time (which is now a day late at this point but oh well), I just search 'fictional character quiz' and clicked on the most legitimate looking one, and I got Sherlock Holmes. It was a lightbulb moment; I LOVE mysteries, Britain, everything about Sherlock fascinates me. He's adventurous, extremely smart, and just has that unique intuition that I (think I) have as well. I see life as unpredictable, but an adventure, just as Sherlock would. He's the holmie, you could say.
So, that's myself summed up by fictional characters. Who do YOU think you are like? Join the fad and find out, you may surprise yourself!
