"How can you love someone so-so broken?" My voice cracked as I looked up at Kaleb. Kaleb pins me to the wall, as a whimper escapes my mouth.
"Who says I can't?" He raises his brows with a smirk painted onto his face. Suddenly, Kaleb grabs my face...
A few hours has passed since my last encounter with Kaleb. Since then, Melody and Kaleb has been grinding on eachother, and sucking faces infront of me as I watch in disgust.
"Clau, c'mon, you haven't gotten up since you came back from the restroom! Get up and have some fun, who cares about Kaleb!" Sav dramatizes as she tugs on my arm.
I shook my head and forced a smile to reassure her.
"It's fine, go have fun with your man!" I wiggle my eyebrows as we both go into a fit of laughter's.
Slapping my arm, we both stop laughing.
"Now now, Clau, no need to tell the whole school." Sav smirks and I push her towards Neal.
Sighing deeply, I get up and make my way to the ladies restroom for no particular reason at all.
As I open the door, I sigh in relief as there's no one in. Walking to the mirror, I pulled on my fake smile. Why can't I be happy? Just once. Tonight was supposed to be me forgetting who I really am for a few hours! At my thoughts, a tear strolls down my cheeks, and I immediately take a towel and carefully wipe my tear.
Pulling out my old flip phone, I check the time.
11:05pm.
Sighing, I pull myself together and take a last glance in the mirror before making my way to the door.
Just as I thrust my hand forward to grab the door handle, the door swings open, almost hitting me, startling me.
Moving to the side, my confidence just dropped to -500. There before me stands Melody Quinn herself, staring at me with a disgusted face expression.
"Oh you again huh?" She sneers at me, as I don't respond, simply because I didn't know what to say. "Anyways, what's up with you staring at Kaleb and I all night!?" Melody instantly takes a step towards me, as I back up.
"N-no-I-I wasn't st-staring at you guys t-tonight." I stuttered as I feel my brain shut down on words for me.
Melody just laughs as if I'd just said the funniest thing ever.
"Please honey, don't lie now, I saw you staring at us all night! Stay. Away. From. Him." Melody slowly states as she takes steps towards me with each word.
"I wasn't-"
"Shut the hell up! Why are you even here!? You're such a fucking nerd who deserves to die! You don't deserve friends like Savannah Miller, nor do you deserve to 'hangout' with people like the KINGS! You're a waste of space on this earth! You think you look nice tonight!?" Melody scoffs. I can feel tears threatening me to set them free. "Well darling think again, cause you look like a fucking whale just shitted you out of its womb!" Melody pushes me as I fall to the dirty bathroom floor, as I give permission for the tears to spill.
"Awwwww cry baby, look at you!" Melody coos ripping the hair piece away from my scalp that held my hair together. My hair falls over my shoulder. "Go cry in the little corner of yours!" Melody coos again, and this time she pulls the hem on my dress tearing it as I cry out loud with a gasp. "Go tell you momma, Crybaby Claudia!" Melody lifts her foot and kicks me square in the face as I scream out in pain, anger, defeat and embarrassment.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" I choked put as I hold my dress together.
"Don't look or even think about touching Kaleb again, you think he'll go for something like you!? He'll never go for an embarrassment like you! You nasty, worthless excuse of a human!" With that, Melody ruffles her hair, taking a glance in the mirror and leaves me on the bathroom floor crying.
Luckily, no one came to the bathroom so I stayed there for God knows how long until I slowly made my way to the mirror. Seeing my reflection, I cry once again.
My makeup is all smeared, my eyes are bloodshot red and puffy, my hair is all tangled up and a mess. My dress is falling apart, some jewels are missing, BIG chunks of jewels to be exact. The only thing that are in good shape is my heels that I adore.
I hesitantly open the doors and walk out with my head down low as I try to squeeze through to the exit.
"Hello Weston High schoolers! My name is Melody Quinn and I am your Homecoming Queen and your Homecoming King is of course Kaleb Pierce!" Stopping, I look towards the stage and take a glance at Kaleb. We make eye contact and his eyes widen, as I quickly look away. "And I have someone I'd like to come up here and speak for us!" Melody searches the room until her eyes land on me, as an evil grin is plastered on her face. No, not me, not me, not-
"I want Claudia Jones to come up here and speak with us!" Suddenly my heart stops beating as my voice is caught in my throat. All eyes fall on me and the stage lights are shone on me. "C'mon Claudia, you look great tonight!" Melody coos into the microphone, as laughter's fills the room. I can literally feel my feet wanting to give up on me, as tears are collected in the corners of my eyes.
"No? Why not Claudia?" Melody fakes a disappointed look as she puckers her lips.
Kaleb snatches the microphone from Melody's hands. "That's enough Melody." Kaleb speaks and I feel like crying from embarrassment. I should've left when I had the chance to.
Turning around, I throw my heels on the floor and ran. I ran out of the ballroom, the school..... I didn't know where I was going, but I was leaving. I was running from my problems. Something I loved to do. I never looked back, even when I heard voices calling after me. I just ran. I ran as fast as I could, gasping for air.
I could feel my throat closing up on me and my vision blurred from my heavy tears.
