The rest of the day was a blur. All the students looked at me, some with judgmental eyes still, and I kept my head down.
Once I got home after grocery shopping, I quickly made dinner- meatball spaghetti and breadsticks with a side salad it was.
Like usual though, Dan wasn't home- probably gambling again I thought.
I made it to my room to start my essay for Ms.Karen's class. Although I had a week 'til the due date, I wanted to get a head start.
Two hours later, and my neck and back started cramping, so I decided it 'twas finally time to shower.
As I was getting out of the shower, I hear the front door open, and I mentally cursed myself for leaving my clothes in my room. All I had was my towel!
My hand stops mid air, as I pressed my ear up against the door.
Somethings off.... There's more than one person here. I stood there for a minute, realizing that there's Dan and another man here, although I couldn't make out what they were talking about.
1.....2.....3! I swing the door open, trying to make a run for my room until suddenly,
"Claudia!!!"
Oh no! Not now, not now!!
I slowly walk to the living room, a death grip on my towel. Then, my eyes meets his.
"This the lowlife I was telling you about," Dan grunts out after a long puff from his cigarette.
The other man slowly gets up, his eyes wandering in all the places I didn't like. Then, he steps forward. 1.....2.....3....
Every step he took towards me, I stepped back matching his. Until-
"Uhhh!" I almost lose my balance as my back makes contact with the wall. Trapped. I felt trapped in that moment, just as his body presses up against mine.
"She's a beauty Daniel," the man says, followed by a laugh. His hand grips at the hem of my towel as my grip tightens.
"I'd disagree," Dan scoffs before getting up and leaving the mystery man and I in the living room. I could hear the microwave going off as Dan heats up his dinner.
"I can get used to this." The mystery man says.
"N-no. Please!" I muttered, trying to pull away from his grasp as tears well up in my eyes.
"Care for some dinner Brandon?" Dan shouts in the other room.
"I've got dinner right here," Brandon says, staring menacingly into my eyes, a grin plastered on his face.
Oh no. Fear seeps into me, and I used all my might to push him away.
"No!" I scream as he almost successively pulled off the towel. I quickly ran to my room, slamming the door behind me as my heart pounds in my chest.
I hear them both laugh and Brandon's footsteps fade down the corridor.
I plop down on the bed, waiting for my heart to calm down, but before I knew it, I had dozed off into a deep sleep.
Next day:
Currently in my third period, I sat next to Savannah and we paired together to work on our project research presentation.
"So there's four of them," Savannah starts. "There's Kaleb Pierce: he's the leader. He started this whole 'KINGS' thing. He's the one you despise." And we both laughed to that.
"Then, there's Ivan Santana: the auburn guy with glasses. I'd say he's the nicer one of them all. Next is Neal McKinsley: probably the hottest one of them all, he's the one with dark hair. Lastly , there's Grayson Arnold. His gold locks makes all the girls go crazy." She rolled her eyes and we laughed again.
"But that's only four, who's the S-" I was cut short by the bell, and when I looked up, Savannah was already getting up.
"C'mon, let's go," she says and I follow suit.
Lunch time:
Savannah and I were separated until lunch time again, and today, instead of going outside, she suggested that we have lunch inside instead. I agreed.
I finished my apple and sat there, talking to Savannah for a bit, until-
"Oomf-" I was on the floor again.
"Hey!" I get up, gathering my bag and my notebooks. It was him again. Kaleb.
"Sorry princess, but you're in my spot, on my table." He smirks as the rest of the guys sit down.
Neal seats himself to the right of Savannah, and I noticed his arm goes around her shoulders.
"Hey, get off of her!" I pried his arms off of Savannah. "Let's go." I pulled her away from him.
I hated him. I hated all of them! Wherever they go, trouble follows and I take the fall all the time! Literally!
"Where you goin' babe?" Neal gets up.
"I'm not your babe!" I said over my shoulders, hand still connected to Savannah.
"We'll be back." I stop dead in my tracks.... If I didn't answer.... Then who did?....
It was Savannah who answered....
"Savannah?" I slowly turned around and my brows pulled together in confusion? Worry? I wasn't sure.
Savannah let's go of my hand and walks back to Neal, giving him a kiss on the lips. By now, most of the lunch room has gone quiet and they are staring at us. All of us.
My heart is pounding and I can feel my hands start to sweat. Wiping my hands on my jeans, I cleared my throat and said, "I'll see you eight period," and left the lunch room feeling embarrassed.
I could feel my throat closing up on me, the walls shrinking and the corridor get stretched out. The more I walked, the further the door seemed. My knees started to tremble and I felt like I couldn't breathe.
Just as my arms reached out for the doors, I'm pulled back into reality, and there she was, staring at me with a worried face, her brows furrowed in worry.
"Hey, are you okay? What's wrong? Breathe Claudia, breath." Savannah's hands cup my face.
"How could you? How could you not tell me that you were with them? Part of the KINGS?! You're just like them then!" I felt my voice getting louder and louder.
"Claudia, I- I didn't know what to say to you. I could see your undying hatred for them. For Kaleb. I didn't know when was the right time to tell you that Neal and I were together." She says, sighing deeply.
I didn't realize that by now, my breathing has calmed down and my heart has settled.
"I'm sorry....I-I have to get to class." That's all I could assemble. I grabbed my bag that had fallen, and rushed to my next hour, ignoring Savannah's calls behind me down the hall. I just needed time to think. Time to breathe.
(A/N): heyyyyy all! This chapter was kind of a filler, and I revised a lotttttttt for this chapter. If you're a re-reader, this chapter is practically new to you too:)
If you're a re-reader too, you'll notice that I changed the guys's names just a teeny tiny bit😅 hopefully this all still makes sense though!

Teen Fiction"How can you love someone so-so broken?" My voice cracked as I looked up at Kaleb. Kaleb pins me to the wall, as a whimper escapes my mouth. "Who says I can't?" He raises his brows with a smirk painted onto his face. Suddenly, Kaleb grabs my face...
