After gym class yesterday, I avoided Kaleb at all costs. I mean, how could I approach much less face him after we were in such a erotic position on the gymnasium floor?!

"So," Savannah says as she grabs her textbook and shuts her locker door. "There's a bonfire party tonight at the beach. We all say it's 'for the school mascot' but really, it's just an excuse for us to get drunk and party. We should go."

"Ummmm I'm not sure. I have to make dinner and I really want to study before my test Monday." I shuffle my weight from right to left, grabbing my math workbook before also shutting my locker.

"It'll be fun. We go every year, and there's always a bunch of drinks! Even the neighboring students from other schools come too. There's no adults, no supervision!" She cheers.

"I don't have anything worthy to wear." Ugh, what a lame excuse Claudia!!

"Perfect. We can stop by my house before we head out. I have tons of outfits." And just like that, Savannah and I parted ways to our first period.

When I entered Ms.Karen's class, she was nowhere to be found, and just as I looked at at my seat in the front of the room, I noticed that a short haired girl was now sitting there.

Unaware of the seating change, I looked for her spot, but noticed that the only empty desk was all the way in the back. Next to Kaleb.

I walked up to her, before saying, "hey. I think you're in my spot." I mustered up the courage to confront her. In a nice way, of course.

"He threatened me to sit here." She said, keeping her head down low.

"Who?" I was confused. Why would anyone threaten someone to change seats.

"Kaleb. Kaleb Pierce." She coughed up his name like it was poison.

"Kaleb...? What? Why?!" He had no right. He can't just go around threatening and bullying people! He's going to get a piece of my mind!

Marching up to Kaleb, my arms are crossed, textbook in hand.

"You have no right Kaleb! You can't go around bullying innocent people! Who do you think you are?!" I could feel my face heating up from the confrontation.

"Because I can. And I will." Was his short answer. No room for questions.

"I am not sitting next to you, if that's what you thought I'd do. I'd rather learn from the floor!" I plop myself down on the floor, opening up my textbook.

Without warning, Kaleb pulls me up by my arms and throws me onto his lap.

I leap out like a mad woman.

"Are you crazy?! What are you do-"

"Alright class, settle down. Everyone please take your seats.....you too, Claudia." Ms.Karen stands there, hands on her hips waiting for me to take a seat.

My cheeks glow a crimson red as I pickup my textbook from the ground and angrily shuffled into the seat next to Kaleb.

"This isn't over!" I whispered angrily to Kaleb.

"Whatever you say princess." I could almost hear the snarky smile from his tone. God, I want to shove his smile up his ass!

Today was Friday, and that means that Dan won't be home until morning. Friday's are gambling day, and it's also pretty much the only day out of the week that I'll have freedom for a bit.

On the walk home from school, I stopped by the mall for a presentable outfit for tonight.

My budget was $20, and I was thankfully able to find a clearance white tee with colorful smiley faces on the front.
