💮Jumin Han💮

"Meow~"

I lazily looked at the cat--Elizabeth. It was now purring on the couch, slouching and pawing its face. I sighed. Well, she is obviously being taken great care of by no other than Jumin. And the chef definitely came here and asked what I'd like to eat.

I replied I wanted kimchi. He laughed and said I should raise the difficulty bar higher. Like, what?

In the end, the chef laughed as he walked away, saying he'd bring the dinner later.

I rolled over. "Haaahhh," I let out another sigh. I'm on the sofa right now. It's pretty big, you know. I think two people would fit on this sofa.

I sat up and looked for the remote and turned the television on. I scanned the channels and found one I would be interested in--comedy show.

I flinched when my phone rang. I immediately answered it, "Hello? Is this mother? Please come and get m--"

"(Y/N)."

Ah. This voice. "Jumin!" I shot up from the sofa and clenched the remote I was holding. "Why do you have my number?! Where are you?! It's almost dinner time and you're not home, yet!"

"Can you ask questions one by one?"

"Gah! You--!!"

"First, isn't it obvious I'd have your number since you are my fiancé?" My heart skipped a beat. His voice on the phone sounds a lot deeper and low. With his voice this close to my ear... "And we're stuck in a traffic. The vehicles haven't moved. I'm sorry. I was unaware you'd miss me. I'll tell the driver to hurry, then."

I felt the heat from my cheeks spread throughout my whole face, "Who in their right mind would miss you?!"

I heard a small chuckle from the other line as he answered, "You are an interesting woman."

"You! No matter how much you try to talk smoothly, I won't be swayed by you!"

"Hm? I am not a smooth talker."

"Jumin Han, send me home. Right now."

"It is pretty late."

"I can go home by myself."

"Ah. The car has moved. I'll see you at home, then."

"Jumin Han! I said--!"

"Don't worry." I almost beamed, upon thinking the next words would be that he'd send me home but instead, what I heard was, "I'll be home and we can eat our dinner. I have wine, too. I can't wait to see you. Very well, then. Bye."

"Ju--!" But I couldn't say anything else because he'd hung up. I dialled his number again but it was busy. I exerted all of my effort not to slam my phone on the floor. I could only grit my teeth. I could feel my cheeks burning from either anger and embarrassment. I looked at Elizabeth and she looked back at me. She tilted her head and her ear twitched. "Your owner is one hell of a selfish jerk!"

"Meow~"

"Oh? Are you agreeing with me, Elizabeth?" I replied as I walked towards her and sat on the floor. Elizabeth was on the couch. I patted her head and she purred. "Yeah. You do understand, right, Elizabeth? To think I'm talking to a cat. I must be out of my mind. Don't you think so, too?"

Elizabeth purred again. I sighed and leaned my arm on the couch. "Hey, can I call you Eli? Elizabeth is too long for--oomf!!" She suddenly jumped at my face--or is she hugging me?

"This is a rare sight."

I flinched as I turned around. Elizabeth fell down and I saw Jumin Han standing by the doorframe with a briefcase on hand. "Ju..."

Suddenly, he smiled. "The most precious beings in my life are having a great time. Mind if I join you?"

"No! What precious beings! S-Since you're here, I can go h--"

"Yes. Since I'm here now, we can have our dinner. I'll call for the chef," he said as he strided inside the room and gently laid the briefcase on the sofa. He clicked something on his phone and then turned to me as he took his coat off. "Shall we head to the dining room?"

"Jumin Han, I said I'm going home today."

"Yes. We'll be eating dinner, okay? I've brought wine, too. This is best with meat. Don't you agree?"

"Is your hearing filtered?"

He was seated on the table now. He looked up at me and smiled, "What are you talking about?"

"You know, Mr.Han," I began as I sat across him. "You don't listen to things that are not in sync with what you want."

He blinked, "Really, now?"

"But I swear," I leaned back on the chair and crossed my arms as I eyed him intently. "I will get out of this place and go back home!"

He leaned his elbows on the table and clamped his hands together as he leaned his chin on his knuckles. The corner of his lips lifted as his eyes somewhat narrowed, "Hmmm. Fierce. I like that."

My whole face heated up again and I could only grit my teeth. I swear. I am leaving this place and I will do whatever I can to call off this marriage!

Maybe I could ask help from Saeran. Afterall, he's a hacker like his twin.
