"Why didn't you tell me? I'm your brother." Ash asked, clearly hurt.
"I was scared, scared you would react exactly like this!"
"How else do you expect me to react? Who is he?"
"I can't tell you!" I quickly said
"Is this another one of your secrets? Did he just do the deed with you and leave? How else do you expect me to act Ell? You're my sister, I was uspposed to protect you from stuff like this!"
"Of course not, Jesus Christ Ashton!" I snapped, picking Rosie up and balancing her on my hip.
"You can't drop me with a bombshell like this and then not answer my questions!" He yelled, causing Rosie to curl up and put her head on my shoulder
"Would you like to shout any louder? All you need to know is you have a niece, her birthday is in Januaryand she is called Rosie. Mum and Dad accept that I don't want to talk about who he is, god damn they don't even know ok?" I snapped, storming out the living room and upstairs. I walked into Rosie's nursery and sat her on the ground where her tea set was set up and began to play with her.
This was exactly why I didn't want to tell Ashton, I knew he would freak out.
Around 5 minutes later the front door slammed shut and I knew he'd left, I picked Rosie up and walked downstairs. "You're so gullible." Ash laughed.
I frowned at him in return, letting him know I was in no way amused.
"C'mere, I missed my baby sister!" He wound his arms around me in a protective way.
"Your baby sister was here half an hour ago," I laughed "She'll be in her bed now!"
"Lauren's my baby baby sister, you'll always be my baby sister!"
"You're cheesy!" I chuckled
"But ya love me, c'mon, let's go for a walk!" He picked Rosie up and had her on his shoulders, "You and I can fly!" He laughed running away causing her to laugh her little head off.
I grabbed a pair of Rosie's shoes and ran out the door behind them. They stopped at the end of the street to wait on me.
"Are we going to Mum and Dad's?" I asked him, strapping Rosie's shoes on.
"Yes!" He nodded "I need to see them!"
"Duh!" I mocked "Are you going to stay there?"
"Maybe, probably...i don't know I suppose so?"
"You can come stay with us if you want, I don't mind!"
"Are you sure? I mean i'm pretty noisey!"
"I know you're noisey but she will literally sleep through anything!"
"It's ok, i'll come visit every day but i dont want to interrupt you both!"
"Oh ok," I nodded "Come on, we should hurry up I think Harry has a soccer game this afternoon!"
I pulled out my phone and called my Dad.
"Hello?" He answered
"Hi Dad, I know it's pretty early but Ash is home!"
"I know, your sister said! Are you on your way now?"
"Yes, are you all ready?"
"Yes, we'll be there in a minute!"

"El can Cal and Luke come over?" Ashton asked me around 6:30 that night.
"Yeah I guess!" I nodded.
I began to make up a little bowl of fruit for Rosie to eat. I handed it to Ash and she crawled over to him before he helped her up beside him.
"Shouldn't she be talking by now?" He asked confused
"Not necassarily, I mean she's walking and improving in all the things she needs to, talkng might just come last."
"She looks a lot like you!"
"No no no, I don't think so!" I quickly said
"She's got your cheekbones and your nose, her eyes are different but damn are they familiar!" As if on perfect que the doorbell rang, Rosie bounced excitedly up and down.
He was trying to buckle down to the whole 'who's the father' scenario but I knew exactly what he was like.
"She likes the sound of the doorbell!" I laughed
"Will we go see who's at the door?" Ash asked holding his hands out, she stood up and took a small jump. Both of them went to get Luke and Cal from the door.
Next thing I know I hear a shrilling baby scream followed by a hysterical cry.
"Oh my god what happened?" I screamed running to the front door.
"I didn't mean it i'm sorry!" Calum apologised quickly as he reached out to soothe Rosie.
"Don't." i snapped, casuing him to jump back startled. "What happened?" I asked Luke
"He put on this scary mask and tried to scare Ashton but it didnt scare him."
Calum reached out to apologise to Rosie but she moved away and hid in my leg.
"I really am sorry!" Calum said
"It's fine." I snapped, picking Rosie up and walking upstairs as she violently sobbed into my shoulder.
"Sssssh it's ok." I soothed "Was he horrible to you? Did you get a fright?"
I sat her down on my bed and turned the Tv on, there was a light knock on the door but I refused to answer. I wasn't angry at them because clearly it was meant for Ashton but Rosie's distraught right now.
The knock was louder the second time so I stood up and opened it slightly.
"Ella i'm really really sorry!" Calum said
"I said it's ok Calum!" I quickly said
"Please may I come in and apologise to Rosie?" He pleaded
"She might be...a little scared of you!"
"Don't worry! I pulled the door open and let him walk in. Immediately Rosie burst into tears again and tried to hide under the covers.
"Rosie?" He whispered, peering under the covers to look for her. I went in the other way to look for her and pulled her out,
"Calum's got something to say to you!" I said to her "Now you sit there and be a good girl!"
"I'm sorry for scaring you like I did." He said calmly to her causing her to burst into tears. I picked her up and turned to Calum,
"I'll be a minute, she's tired...don't take it personally." I walked into the nursery and lay Rosie down in her cot. "Mummy'll be right back!" i whispered before walking back into my old bedroom.
"This room brings back...memories doesnt it?" Calum laughed, I covered my mouth in disbelief. He was going to figure this thing all out.
"Yeah." I nodded "I guess it does." I finished taking a seat beside him.
"How old is Rosie?"
"She's a year!" I replied
"That was- Oh my." I stopped, suddenly turning a pale colour of white "She-she-"
"Yes." I nodded
"How?"
"Well, if you remembered correctly we were both drunk and got a bit flirty with each other at the leaving do and-"
"No no I remember all of that it's just- am i really?"
"Yes Calum. You are Rosie's Dad."
