Chapter 10

"Calum, it's really good to see you again!" Ella's Dad smiled at me.

"You too." I nodded

"I'm sorry we never spoke to you yesterday."

"Don't worry," I laughed "There was other things needing attended to."

"Is she still asleep?" He asked referring to Rosie who was still fast asleep in my arms

"I didn't want to wake her and she never woke up so I just left her for just now."

"Quite right, the nurse said it won't be long now and Ashton is in there right now. Elisa left late last night with lauren and Harry and they'll probably be here soon aswell."

"My sister is at the cafe just now getting breakfast she'll be up soon!"

"Would you like me to take Rosie just now and you can go in and see her?"

"Uh yeah, sure!" I nodded gently handing Rosie over and walking into Ella's room.

"You're here." Ashton said standing up

"Yeah, Rosie's outside with your Dad!"

"Michael and Lucy came to visit last night, you just missed them!"

"Did his plan work?"

"Yes they are dating which means we're all off the market now." He laughed

"I guess we are." I nodded as Ella's hand twitched

"Did you see that?!" I exclaimed

"No but I felt it." She coughed a little before her eyes fluttered open, Ashton reached behind him to press the big red button and seconds later two nurses ran in.

They started to check Ella over and explained to her where she was and why she was here and what was wrong with her, the oxygen mask was removed from her and some drips were put in her hand instead. The nurses smiled to us and explained what might happen with her before leaving.

"Ella I'm so glad you're awake again." Ashton said happily, holding her hand. I watched her squeeze back and smile.

"It's only a little scratch." She smiled, causing me to smile

"It's a bit more than that." I smiled coming into view of her, she looked at me confused and back at Ashton.

"Where's Mum and Dad?"

"Dad's outside, Mum's with Harry and Lauren but they'll be here soon."

"Do you want me to go get your Dad?" I asked

"Calum, oh my god why are you here?"

"What do you mean, of course I'd be here."

"But- but you're just a friend from school, I appreciate the gesture but-"

"A friend from school?" I whispered, struggling to take it all in "What do you mean a friend from school."

"The nurse did just say she'd be a bit delusional." Ashton nodded sympathetically "Do you mind going to get my Dad?"

I reluctantly nodded and walked outside, "She's awake, she wants to know why her friend from school is here, she wants to see you so I'll just...wait here with Rosie!"

"Don't worry about it son, she'll be ok!" He smiled, handing me Rosie who was arrousing from her sleep.

I sat down and let her rest her head in the crook of my kneck.

About an hour later Ella's parents had all spent their time with her and told her they'd be back later and my sister had taken Rosie home so I decided to go into Ella and explain I wasn't just some friend from school.

She smiled when I entered in a friendly manner, "Feeling any better?"

"I feel more alive." She smiled "I am thank you."

"At least you've not lost that humor of yours."

"As apposed to the last 6 years of my life?" She said sadly, "It's frustrating y'know, like I can't remember if I was in love with anyone, my graduation, I mean Harry's probably not 3 anymore and I could be friends with anyone but I don't know who because I can't remember anything."

"It might come back to you..."

"Can you tell me anything?"

"I can tell you that it was me, before your accident we were dating... We hadn't officially moved in together yet at yours but I stayed over a lot."

"See, I didn't know I had a house...but you and I? What about Ashton?"

"He was obviously fuming at first but he learnt to accept it after a little fight between the three of us...he tried to fling a few punches at me but you intervened to stop me from getting the blow and he hit you instead so you stopped talking to him and so on."

"When did all of this happen?"

"2 or so weeks ago."

"We've not been together for a month and you already stay over? Is there something you're not telling me?"

I decided to wait until she was fitter and maybe at home before breaking the news about Rosie, "No, your brother and I are in a band and we're not long back from our tour so we just chill at yours and spend as much time as possible with each other."

"Are you like a really famous band?"

"We're no Bon Jovi but we're doing a lot of tours yes." He nodded

"So...how did we end up together?"

"It's a long story, we should leave that for another day. Why don't you get some sleep just now."

"Oh ok." She nodded "You don't have to wait Cal, I'm sure you have other things to be doing. "

"Ok." I nodded "I'll see you soon!"

But I never left I walked outside and waited for her.

I just had her back and I wasn't letting her go anytime soon.
