The sunlight shone through the curtains as I opened my eyes early one morning, today was the day my big brother Ashton was coming home. For the past 2 years he's been off touring the world with his band, occasionally coming home to see Mum and Dad but I'd always been 'busy' to see him myself.

But today was the day he was coming home and be home for the next 6 months and to be perfectly honest I was nervous. Really, really nervous. I had never been to busy to see him I'd actually been avoiding him, I had a little secret and telling him would be the hardest thing possible. I mean telling my Dad was actually easier.

I slipped myself out of bed and walked into my bathroom, for the past 10 months I had always been up at 5:30 and dressed waiting for 6:00. I slipped my favourite blouse on (it was navy blue with a white Peter Pan collar) and my white jeans with converse. I straightened my shoulder length hair and applied a minimal amount of make up. It was the same morning routine I had been prone to for a year now.

When the clock's big hand reached the 12 and the little hand reached the 6 I heard the faint murmur and chuckling of my daughter. I walked into her room, a big smile on my face and picked her up out of her cot, "Good morning." I smiled, tickling her tummy "Are you excited to see Uncle Ash today?" I'd never kept him a secret from her, she knew of his band and always watched them on Tv and she could always point him out in pictures.

I brushed out her curls and clipped in a little flower clip and let her pick out a little dress, her tiny hands fondled over the pink one is I carefully changed her nappy, clipped on her baby grow and slid the dress over her head. She smiled and ruffled the ruffles on the bottom half of the dress. I picked her up, letting her sit on my hip and walked into the kitchen before placing her in her high chair.

The sun was shining strong today, obviously it's predictable considering we stay in Australia but it looks like today will be particularly hot. My phone buzzed from the counter so I picked it up and answered.

"Hello?" I said

"Ella, It's me." Michaels familiar voice rang "I wasn't actually expecting you to be up this early." He laughed

"Oh um...well...priorities, y'know." I lied

"I suppose, anyway Ash has just went to the toilet but he wanted me to tell you that we've landed and we're just waiting on our taxi to take us to your place, is that ok?"

"What? My place? Here? All of you?"

"Um, yeah, Ash told me that was the plan..."

"Oh, yes, of course it is." I quickly said, mentally cursing my stupidity "I'm sorry, it's been one of those days."

"Ella, it's 6:30 in the morning."

"One of those...mornings? I'm sorry Michael, I've got to go, I'll see you in an hour ok? Bye!" I quickly said hanging up the phone and running back over to Rosie. I quickly fed her whilst trying to phone my little sister Lauren. Eventually, she picked up.

"Lauren! Oh my god I need your help!"

"Please Ella, it's 6:30 in the morning." She groaned.

"I don't care, I need you over here before 7:30!"

"What?" She slurred

"Ashton is home ok but all of the boys are coming over here and I'd happily explain everything to him but not when the others are there aswell."

"I'll be there in 20."

Ash and his friends were here at 7:45 because knowing them they're late for everything. I smiled warmly and let them come in, they dumped there bags in the kitchen and I made them all breakfast, Lauren was playing with Rosie in the nursery and hopefully they would be ok until the boys decided to leave.

"So Ella, how have you been?" Ash asked me as I was clearing away the dishes

"I've been...yeah ok, what about you?"

"I've been great. There's something different about you El" as if Ella wasn't short enough, Ashton shortened it again, he always has done.

"I-I'll talk to you later," I stuttered

"So there is something"

"Yes but I'm not telling you when the boys are here because you will over react."

He frowned at me, clearly pissed off. Ashton was my big brother, my role model, he was my everything. There was only around 2 years between us and growing up, he was my best friend. When his band left to go on tour with One Direction I was completely gutted.

As if it was planned Calum walks into the living room, "I need to go, My sister just texted me and she said that everybody's waiting on my homecoming if you like, Luke's Mum's picking the three of us up"

I grinded my teeth together, watching him. He'd changed so much in the past two years, he was taller and he had more muscles.

He walked into the room cautiously and spoke to Ashton quickly, although a bomb was about to go off...

"Ok," Ash smiled "I'll talk to you later, yeah?"

"Course," Cal replied, everyone came too gather there bags and thank me before they left leaving me to an eerily quiet living room with a demanding Ash waiting to get to the point.

"So what's wrong?" He asked, settling down beside me.

"I really don't know the easy way to say this."

"It's ok El, I won't judge you you can tell me anything!"

"P-promise me...th-that this won't change anything?" I stuttered.

I'd been waiting two years for this and I still couldn't tell him confidently.

"I pinky promise."

"Ok...I'll be right back then!"

I pulled apart and ran upstairs, I opened the door to the nursery to find Lauren and Rosie playing tea parties "Thank you so so so so much Lauren, I owe you big time and I'll explain to Mum and Dad if you need me to."

"It's ok," she smiled "How do I get out without him noticing?"

"You can just follow me down and leave that way, it'll be fine"

So she did, both of us went downstairs, I hugged Lauren and watched as she left before myself taking a deep breath and opening the door to the living room.

"When you were away some things changed around here!" I said as Rosie toddled in behind me

"Oh my god." He murmured

Rosie squealed in delight and ran straight over to him welcoming him in a hug.

"This is Rosie...your niece."
