Equine Ballerina [Sebastian Stan AU]

Chapter Seven

So I added a photo the food tent incase anyone was wondering what it looked like, it looks huge in this photo, but once they start filming there is going to be a tonne of people coming and going xx

We walked out of the arena together, and once we were outside the gate, I turned to head back over to stables, when I paused and looked back at Sebastian, 'you probably won't want to walk in wearing your helmet' I pointed up to his head.

'oh right, completely forgot' he shrugged and took the helmet off, walking the few steps between us and holding it out for me to take, and I felt his hands brush against mine, as I took the helmet. Sebastian's hands then ran thought his hair and as he walked away he called out, 'I'll save you a seat'

As he walked away I couldn't help but watch him for a few more minutes, before I turned to walk back over to the stalls with Soldier. As I turned into the stables, I saw Jacob heading into the tack room already with Patriots gear.

'running late already Joss' Alice came running around next to me, 'Here I'll give you a hand' she offered, 'just tell me everything as we work'

I laughed at her tone of voice, her voice hitched as she obviously started thinking about Sebastian again,  we worked quickly, and I offered Soldier a quick drink from the water trough, and a sugar cube from my pocket as Alice went and dropped off the gear in the tack room.

'So how did he ride?' she asked, as we headed over to the food tent area which had been set up earlier in the morning, voice slightly higher then normal.

'He has potential, it was only his first hour on a horse properly' I replied, remembering his look of determination during the session. 'he is too worried about making sure he looks natural, but he will get there'

She nodded, 'hopefully I can help during the next session' she looked over at me hoping I would have some say in the matter.

'As the week goes on probably you and Amber will both be brought in, I'll have to start working the other horses as a herd, and I don't know if Luke is helping us out with the sessions, he seems to be pretty focused on working through things with Terrence for now' I replied, mentally running through the agreement we had decided on earlier in the week.

We reached the food tent area, and before we went in I found myself running my hand through my hair, and I wish I had of made a stop off to the bathroom, I sighed as I followed Alice into the tent, and was about to go sit down with Luke and Jacob when I saw Sebastian waving me over. I nodded over to acknowledge my team, but walked over to the table Sebastian was at instead.

He stood up as I approached him, 'want to grab something first?'

I nodded, and followed him over to one of the tables that had been adorned with a variety of salads and some sandwiches. I quickly browsed over the selection, and ended up choosing a BLT and scooped up some of the fresh fruit salad onto my plate, before stepping back and letting Sebastian choose what he wanted. He grabbed a BLT as well and then scooped up some of the Caesar salad which was also on the table.

One our way back to the table we both stopped and grabbed some water from the drinks table and then went to sit down. On our way back I noticed a few people from the crew watching me as they ate, but chose to just shrug it off for now.

I sat down opposite Sebastian and looked up noticing him sigh loudly as he sat down.

'You alright?' I said

He shook his head, looking down at his plate, 'first hour and I'm already aching everywhere' he replied, before looking up at me.

'Don't worry just means you're doing it right then ' I said hoping it was some consolation for him, it was true the more pain you felt the more likely it was you were doing it correctly. Even the most experienced riders still suffered with aches and pains.

We fell into a comfortable silence as we ate our food, both of us taking glances at the other when they weren't looking. He asked a few questions about our session and what he should expect later on in the afternoon after they scene blocked with Terrence, and I explained if would probably just be a lesson revision from this morning for now at least.

I stood up to put my plate away, and Sebastian followed, I realised he kept rubbing his legs so I asked, 'everything ok?'

'Yeah just may have realised jeans aren't the best to
ride in' he replied looking a little disheartened at this chose of attire.

I glanced down at my watch, 'when do you have to be back for Terrence?'

'Around 2-2.30 I think' he shrugged.

'Perfect' I replied, ' you're coming with me then'

'I didn't think kidnapping was your style Jocelyn' he laughed. 'Where are we going?'

'Driving into town to pick you up some better pants, want to ask Carol to come along too, you both might as well get some proper gear' I said gesturing over to the table she was sitting at with some of the crew.

I watched as he walked over and then turned to head over to Luke, to let him know where we were going, Alice asked if she could tag along, but Luke and Jacob reminded her of the jobs she has to finish up before tomorrow. I promised her I would make sure she got to chat to Sebastian properly sometime before the day ended.

'Ok ready to go boss' Sebastian said with Carol in tow. I smiled at them both before quickly asking Amber and Alice if they could make sure both mares were ready for training once I got back as well.

'Ok just have to grab keys from the office and then we are good to go' I said heading out of the tent as they followed me over to the stables.

I chose to drive the four wheel drive into town, Sebastian sat upfront with me and Carol sat in the middle of the backseat. On the drive into town both actors asked me about my background with horses and Sebastian seemed be surprised at just how long I had been riding for and then how long I had been on the road for , which was non stop during my travel days with Cavalia for about 4 years.

After a few minutes of driving around looking for a park we pulled up outside the tack shop, and I was able to park out the front. Thankful that at least for now the media had no idea where they were filming and I hoped it would stay like that as we headed into the store.
