Chapter Twelve

Firstly I wanted to apologise that this took so long to update. I have had a few on going problems lately that I am dealing with but I've finally managed to start writing again!

I wiped my hands on my pants, quickly going through my mental notes about the feeding schedule for the horses, before throwing in some extra handfuls of grains to round the mixtures up. I leaned over ticking off the horses that would be having a morning feed, mentally remembering to make sure my two geldings were going to be fed first, as we had a riding session straight up after breakfast.

'You got back pretty late last night, didn't think you would be doing the morning feeds already'

I didn't have to turn around to know who had just walked in, I sighed rolling my eyes before picking up two of the buckets. ' I'm capable of maintaining my responsibilities Jacob, I was scheduled for this morning so I'm here, I don't need you to be checking up on me'

'Joss, I was just coming down to help, honestly' he replied, reaching down to grab some of the feed buckets.

'Jacob, I don't appreciate you tone right now, or the fact you are making Sebastian feel really uncomfortable with being around me, especially whilst he is riding' I replied, turning around to face him again.

He looked away after hearing my opinion, then turned his gaze back to me, taking a step forward.

'Joss, I'm just worried about you, and I just have this weird feeling about Sebastian, and I don't think you should be getting so close to him either ' he said, his voice barely above a whisper, as he looked around to make sure no one else was overhearing the conversation.

I shook my head at his comments, 'Jacob stop, the only reason you don't like him is because he is getting close to me, everyone else around here gets on with him, if you have a problem working with him than step back and I'll cover the lessons with them, I'm sure Luke will let me get one of the other girls to help me out'

I turned to leave but then took a step back to face Jacob, 'don't think you can control everything or everyone around here'. I said before leaving the room, to start feeding the horses.

I leaned across the stall door, reaching over to give Soldier a pat along his neck as he chewed the last of his breakfast, as I enjoyed the last moments of quietness in the barn before everyone started arriving.

'There you are'  Amber called out as she walked down towards me. 'Tell me everything!'

I laughed shaking my head, ' he was very sweet, we talked all night' I said turning around to face her, 'then he offered to take me to New York'  I added, my voice barely above a whisper.

'Excuse me?!?' Amber exclaimed, ' what, when where?!' She asked.

' we hadn't decided, but he said he wanted to show me around, seeing as he was a real New Yorker' I said, causing me to smile as I remembered our conversation from last night.

'Girl, this is amazing' she said , looking away for a second,then abruptly turned back, 'was there a kiss!' She asked loudly.

'Shh ok, not everyone needs to know all the details right now' I said, straightening up, ' and no, there was no kiss, but we spent a while cuddling in my truck'

Amber sighed, ' you still have plenty of time, maybe in New York than'

Shaking my head again, ' we don't even know when we are going thank you, for all I know it could be after filming, schedules going to be pretty tight from now till last shoot'
