I took a quick glance at myself at the small hand held mirror Amber held out to me, running my hand through my hair, she had insisted I take out it out of the usual braid, so now it sat around my shoulders, as she sprayed something in it to stopped it frizzing.
'No need to thank me' Amber said, her voice hinting a sense of sarcasm as she turned to put everything back into her locker.
'How do you even have so much of this crap anyway' I said, standing up running my hands over my jeans and pulling down the tank top as I reached over to grab my phone from the desk,'I barely use 2-3 of these products' I mumbled, thinking over all the products that now rested on my face.
'Have to be prepared for any occasion' Amber said, turning to face me from her locker, ' better not keep your date waiting then' she gestured outside, making me turn to see Sebastian walking up the pathway toward the office. 'Just remember tomorrow it's your turn for morning start' she called out as I turned to leave the office, I rolled my eyes at her inference head out the door in time to meet Sebastian.
'Long time no see' he said, with a light chuckle, his eyes glanced over my new ensemble, before our eyes met. I laughed at his comment, nodding along, as I reached into my pocket to grab my car keys.
'Our chariot awaits, shall we' I said, smiling up at him, holding out my keys, and started heading out toward the small carpark next to the offices. We both got comfortable in my white four wheel drive, before I started to drive down the driveway to head into town, I flicked on the radio to have some background noise, smiling when the radio announcer said it was an 80's flashback hour.
I noticed Sebastian started nodding his head along , as the tune of Karma Chameleon started playing on the radio. 'Culture Club fan are we?' I asked, tapping the steering wheel in time with the music.
'Kind of, I mean I'm just a massive fan of 80's music to be honest' he replied as he stopped nodding along to look over at me. 'You?'
'I pretty much am a general music fan, though the 80's was definitely one of the better decades to be honest' I replied, 'Culture Club is one of my go to music choices though' I added, as I started to scan the road for a parking spot, and quickly parked the car at the end of the street.
'Where do you recommend we go for dinner then' Sebastian said, unbuckling his seat belt, turning in his seat to face me.
'What do you enjoy eating? I can guarantee this town has enough variety to please anyone' I replied, chuckling at myself.
'I'm sure it does, but your choice' he replied, reaching over to touch my hand, as I reached over to unbuckle my own belt, his hand slipped down.
'Mangia it is then' I said, opening my door, and jumping out, needing some air all of a sudden. Sebastian jumped out and was standing next to me a few moments later, pulling down his blue cap and putting his sunglasses straight on.
'Mangia what even is that?' he laughed, shaking his head, as he started following me along the row of shops leading into the centre of town.
'It's Italian, come on hurry up' I said, looking up at him, realising he was being a bit cautious as people walked towards us. I reached out to grab his hand, pulling him alongside me, and as we reached the restaurant I quickly pulled him inside, and noticing him sigh once the door had been closed behind us.
We were quickly ushered to a table, and thankfully it was toward the back of the small restaurant. We fell into a silence between us, both of us brushing over the menu quickly, before we both ended up ordering a couple of pasta dishes.
'Are you alright Seb?' I asked, noticing he still seemed to be holding onto some tension.
'Yeah, I tend to mentally prepare for the worst scenario, in terms of being ambushed by fans or paparazzi, hence the get up' he said gesturing to the hat and glasses that were not strewn on the table next to him.
