"And as I was saying, she was looking at me as if I was some kind of animal. Do I look like a dog to you?"
Kai shook his head, making Lily smile appreciatively. "Exactly! If I looked like a dog, I'd be a cute dog."
I snorted as Lily turned around to glower at me. She took Kai's hand and literally dragged him towards the dress section. I groaned but trailed behind them. Kai seems to be holding back a groan too but maybe he has soft spot for Lily, who knows. But one thing I know for sure is that if Lily and my positions were reversed, he would be letting out a string of curses or biting my head off.
Lily was already rushing towards the changing room, a pile of clothes in her hands. I wonder how she can carry all those without tumbling down. My legs started to ache so I scanned the shop, hoping there would be a chair to sit on. Luckily, there was. Unfortunately, it was a love seat. And to my greatest horror, one side was occupied my none other than Kai. WHY?
I stood idly near the racks, cursing myself for being prideful and stubborn. Kai looked so bored waiting for Lily to come out, and I was getting mad at myself for being so damn hardheaded. Ah, screw it. I walked over to where the seat was then sat down, pretending I haven't sat next to Kai. He glanced at me, one eyebrow raised. I massaged my stiff legs, wishing Lily would just hurry the hell up.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Sitting. Are you blind?"
"......"
"......"
"I'm so not...doing this."
He stood up shaking his head, then walked away. I gaped at him, suddenly feeling very offensive. I stuck my tongue out and he just rolled his eyes, muttering under his breath. Oh yeah, he must be saying how immature I'm being but screw him.
Lily came out of the changing room wearing a cute plaid dress. "So how do I look?" she asked, twirling around. I was about to say that she actually looked good then I noticed that she was only looking at Kai. Wow, okay. I'll just stay invisible and let them do their thing. Jesus.
Kai nodded approvingly and Lily smiled coyly at me. What was that about?
"Alicia! Try this dress on! It will look cute on you!"
"No."
"Come on! Please? For me?"
"Still no."
Lily pouted then batted her eyelashes. "Kai, can you tell Alicia to get her ass over here?"
"Get your ass over here," Kai said. I flipped him the bird.
"No."
Lily stormed over to where I was, yanking me up. "This is your only chance to show Kai how pretty you'll look in that dress. Come on, Alicia!"she hissed in my ear. I crossed my arms over my chest, then glared at my best friend.
"I don't care, Lily. I don't want to show him anything. I don't even like him for goodness sake. And what on earth are we even doing here at this mall? I thought we were going to the park?" I hissed back. Lily rolled her green eyes, dragging me towards the changing room.
