Alexei's POV:

"Hey o Alyosha!"

Anastasia pounced on me.

"You wanna play cards?"

"Not now Anya, go away."

"What about tag?"

" I don't want to play now. I'm thinking."

"Oooh, I see. How about now?"

"No."

"Now?"

"No."

"Why?"

"No."

"Are you only going to say no?"

"Yes."

" Yes isn't no! I win!"

"No."

"Ugh! You're no fun! Don't you want to go-"

"No."

"Fine, I'll leave you alone with your thinking."

She left with a humph and was on her way.

I stared out the window at the water. The sky was grey and blank, basically how I felt. I was overjoyed at Ileana's acceptance my proposal, but it didn't hold the same power that an official betrothal did, which I now realized we would both have to somehow avoid for the next four years. And that irked me, and made my head hurt.

I looked outside I saw the sun peaking out across the nothingness. Maybe, it would be alright. Hope.
