I woke up in an unfamiliar room, the walls were yellowish instead of the white that I'm used to. I struggle to open my eyes, but they won't open all the way. The pain the courses through my body is vaguley familiar and that's when I remembered that Dave had broken my ribs and probably just about every other bone in my body, I sat up even though it hurt and looked around. I don't know where I'm at, or where Dave is and those two things scare me.

I stand up and go over to the mirrror that I see hanging on the wall, the face I see staring back at me doesn't seem like it could be my own. I see the tears running down my cheeks before I feel them. I can't believe that I thought  he could change.  Why did I have to believe him. I stand there looking at myself in the mirror for a full 20 minutes before I can finally work up the couurage to move. I was so tired of feeling sorry for myself.

At about noon I decided to go explore the place I was at a little bit. I opened the door slowly scared that I would make a loud noise and Dave would jump out of no where and start pulverizing me. When I looked down the hallway the coast was clear. I tip-toed down the hallway and made it to a flight of stairs. Slowly and carefully I made my way down them. Every time they would creak I would stop and wait, but he never came. I finally felt my feet hit the soft fuzzy carpet. I walked to a door and listened. When I didn't hear noise I slowly pushed it open expecting the worst.

Nobody was in there though which was a relief. It turned out to just be a bathroom. I kept on opening up doors and exploring the house,  by the time that I was finished I heard the rattling of keys. I ran up the stairs careful to avoid the ones that squeaked and managed to make it to my room before the door dwnstairs opened. I was scared of who might be there so I pulled the blankets up to my chin and stared at the doorway. A few minutes later I heard his voice calling my name as he walked down the hallway to the room I sat in. I saw his shadow before I saw him. When he appeared in my door I noticed something on his hand glisten.

He noticed me looking at it ad pulled it up, "Oh this", he said with a smile on his face, "It's time I should tell you that I got married". I could tell by the grin that spread across his face, that he had forced the other person into marriage. He walked out of the room calling for somebody. The noise stopped and the screaming started. I could hear him dragging her up the stairs. When he got to my room he kicked her and, shut the door. I heard the twist of a key and the sound of a lock. That's when I knew that he had locked us in the room.

The woman lay there on the floor shaking uncontrollably. I got up off the bed and kneeled down on the floor next to her. I asked her if she was ok, no response just crying. I sat there feeling helpless, there was nothing I could do for either of us. When she finally spoke I almost choked. "It's all your fault", she whispered at first. She started yelling it after that. "How is it my fault", I yelled back, "I have been scared of him ever since I watched him kill his ex wife at supper one night, I live in constant fear that he will do the same to me, look at me do you think that I would do this to myself". I was pissed that she'd blame her kidnapping on me.

She looked at me and broke out into tears, she kept apologizing over and over again. After a while her pleas stopped and I knew that she had fallen asleep. With all the strength I had left in me I picked her up and put her on the bed. I didn't know how she would react when she woke up, but I was hoping that she wouldn't freak out on me again. That was the last thing I needed.

That night I slept on the opposite side of the bed and gave her as much space as I could. The next morning I woke up to crying and immediately shot out of bed. The girl from yesterday was in the corner of the room crying. Slowly I walked over to her not wantin g to alarm her. When I got to her I bent down and wrapped my arms around her. She stiffened at my touch, but my comforting words soothed her.

We sat there on the floor of the room talking about random things. I asked her where she was from and she said Hampton. She then in turn  asked me a question and on and on. When I told her my story her eyes filled with tears, I didn't leave anything out. I even included the part where I sent my kids away. She was baffled that I could  do such a thing, but understood why I did.

I found out that she had three kids of her own, Carly age 2, Isabella age 5, Jackson age 8. Her eyes filled with tears when she mentioned them and I could tell that she missed them very much. I told her the names of my kids and there ages. She laughed and said that if we ever make it out of this hell maybe the kids could have a playdate. I smiled at that and thought of a normal life.

I hadn't realized how late it was until Dave opened and slammed the downstairs door. I heard crying and this time I realized it wasn't from Jamie(the girl Dave kidnapped to be his wife). The sound couldn't have come from a grown woman it was a little kid. The girl cried again and Jamie stiffened "Isabella", she whispered.

Dave bust through the door with a little girl in hands. Jamie screamed and lunged at him. He kicked her and watched her as she fell to the gorund holding her stomach. Isabella cried when she saw her mom. Dave came further into the room and placed isabella on the bed. He grabbed my hands and tied them behind my back, he then tied my feet together so that I couldn't move. He walked over to Jamie and repeated the process. She fought like hell, but was no match for him.

"You will pay", he said in her ear. Isabella had gotten off the bed and started to walk towards her mom. Dave picked her up and started to rip her clothes off. "No my baby girl", she screamed trying to stand up. Isabella kept hitting Dave trying to fight against him. He hit her in the stomach making her stop. He pulled off his belts and undid his pants. Jamie kept screaming for her little girl. I was watching Isabella the whole time trying to think a way of stopping him from hurting her.

When I heard her screams I knew it was too late. The screaming went on for what felt like hours. I tried to calm down Jamie, but she wouldn't have it. Finally the screaming quit and Dave untied me, and left me to untie Jamie. As soon as I was untied, I went over to Isabella and I saw that she was unconcious. I was aware that Jamie was yelling at me to untie her, but I was worried about Isabella. I felt for a pulse and was realived when I found one.

I untied Jamie and went into the bathroom and started a bath for Isabella. When I walked into the room again Isabella was awake and crying in her mothers arms. "I started a bath for her" ,I said scared to  look into Isabellas eyes and see the pain that they held. I felt something touch my hand and I looked up "thank you", Isabella said. I smiled and bent down to give her a kiss. "I've always wanted a big sister", she said. I just shook my head and sat down on the bed and opened up the book that I had found earlier that day. I started drawing pictures of things that I have went through.

I heard Jamie and Isabella leave the room a few minutes later. I heard Jamie talking to Isabella in the bathroom and strained to drain out their voices. After about half an hour they came back into the room. Isabella yawned and I got off of the bed grabbing a blanket and a pillow and made a pallet on the floor. "You two can have the bed", I said while laying my things on the ground. Jamie was about to protest, but I held up a hand and stopped her. I pointed to Isabella indicating that I didn't want to intrude on the two. She stopped and nodding "Thank you", she said coming over and giving me a hug.
