Meeting a monster

I wake up to Alex jumping on me. I laugh and ask "What's up?" As I a sit up. "Someone gave us 5 dollars! We're rich!" He giggles and hand me the money. I smile. He's young and adorable. "Wanna go get icecream?" I stand up and pop my back, just like I do every morning. The cement isn't the best place to sleep but the box only fits one person and Alex needs more sleep than I do, he's just a kid. He has a blanket for himself too so he doesn't get cold or have to sleep on the hard box. "Yeah!" He says excitedly. It must be noon... did I really sleep that long? I sigh and follow him, making our way to an icecream stand. "Can I have chocolate?" Alex points to the chocolate sign as he says it. The man laughs and says "sure. 2$ please!" I hand him my 5 and he hands me 3 dollars back, along with Alex's icecream. "Don't you want one?" Alex asks. I laugh. "I'm lactose entolerent, remember?" I say. I hate lying to him but it's for his sake. We walk back and I count our money: 9 dollars. I'd that enough for him to be babysitted for the afternoon? "Ok Alex, I need to find a job today so I'm going to drop you off at a babysitters, ok?" I say as I dart my eyes to the street lights. Yes! A babysitting poster is taped to one of them. I grab it and see that for 10 dollars She'll babysit for the night. 9 should give me a few hours for job hunting. "But i want to stay with you" he argues. "I know but I really need to do this. She'll be super nice, ok?" He nods his head with a frown. I walk to the house the paper talked about and knocked on the door, Alex hiding behind me. "Hello!" A young lady chirps as she opens the door. "Hi I'm  (y/n) (l/n) and this is my brother Alex can you watch him till 5? I have 4 dollars" I have to lie if I want to feed Alex again. She laughs. "Of course! Come back at 5! Hi Alex, I'm Janaya!" The rest of the conversation is muffled as she grabs my money and walks inside with alex. Phew.... I walk back to my little home to find my box gone. Somebody stooped that low? They left the blanket, thank god. I grab another box from the store and place it where my old one used to be. This one was white and slightly bigger so Alex would be comfy. I set down the blanket and go back to the light I found the flier on. There was only one other paper and it said "Come babysit my kids in the woods, I'll pay 100$" with an adress. That adress lead to the slender woods. Legend says if you go in there, you don't come out. It's for alex, I have to. I grab the flier and walk towards the woods, a news broadcast on a tv in a shops window stopping me. "Woman all around the city are dissapearing for no known reason. We are believed to have a trail but none has been spoken about. If you have any information about these missing woman, please notify the police immediately" the announcer guy says grimly. The rest of it is commercials and I start walking again. Will I get kidnapped? This job is really shady but.....no. I need to feed Alex and get him new clothes.

(Timeskip, your in the forest)

It's about 2 oclock, I can tell because of the sun. I'm about half way to the house based on this flier. I hold it up to look at it again and when i put it down I notice a rose on the road ahead of me. That's odd, I don't remember it being there before. I look around and see no one, not even any animals. Weird. I pick it up and inspect it before putting it In my hair. Now I look....more fit for babysitting. I continue walking down the lonesome road.

She picked it up! Now she's mine forever and ever and ever! She looks so cute with a rose in her hair! Now all I have to do is make sure she carries it for a few hour- SHE PUT IT IN THE GROUND!?!

Bees keep flying around my head so I decide to put the rose in the ground for the bees. They leave me along and I smile and continue walking. I notice the area where the house is supposed to be but it's just a few bricks piled up. Stupid pranksters. I just waisted 2 hours for this! How am I going to feed Alex tommarrow. I sigh and turn around, running into someone. I scream and jump back, startled by someone being there. He's tall and has no face, only a mouth and a fedora cover him besides his trenchcoat. He grins and says "Well hello ~". I step back in fear. Is this that monster people talk about? What was his name....."slenderman?" I ask. He chuckles. "No, I'm his brother offenderman" he licks his lips creepily. Offenderman?! That's something a pedophile is named...... "nice.........look I'm going to go back to my hou-" "You mean box?". Has he been stalking me? "Yes, I mean box. Just stay over here and I'll go over there" I carefully go around him only to be grabbed by a tentacle. It has tentacles?! I scream and it covers my mouth. "Please be calm, I simply wish to talk" he hums. I stop struggling and stay limp. "Good. Now if you won't run I'll let you go" he says. I nod and he drops me, I land it since I'm only like 100 pounds. "What do you want to talk about" I ask. He thinks and says "How long has it been since you've eaten?". Uhh.......1...2 weeks? "...2 weeks" I say quietly. He chuckles. "You must be starving! Here, take this" he hands me a 20$ bill and my eyes light up. This could feed me AND Alex for Atleast a week! "Thank you so much!" I say happily. He smiles. "Anything for a princess. Now if you want to make it back by 5 you should start moving" he points to a stopwatch he kept in his pants pocket. It's 4:30?! "Oh no!! Thanks for everything, offenderman!" I run at full speed towards town. Maybe hes an imaginary friend or a guardian angel? Either way Alex is going to be ecstatic! I make it back to Janayas house right on time and hug alex. "Thank you so much!" I say as we walk off. Alex notices the bill in my hand and jumps up and down excitedly. "Where did you get it?!" He asks as he examines the bill. "Someone gave it to me" I'm technically not lying! "They must be super duper nice!" He smiles as we walk to subway and get two sandwiches, costing 5 dollars. What, they were 6 inches! Alex had already eaten but I wanted to make sure he was full, Don't judge me! We eat in the restaurant and a news broadcast comes on the tv. "Are surviving victim of the kidnapping said it was a "monster" that kidnapped her. She was found dead the night after. If you find any evidence of a "monster", please notify the police for a cash reward of 100$". Offender wouldnt......I frown. If he's the monster and I got a photo of him...... but he helped me! Its...it's for the greater good. I sigh. "Alright Alex I'll need you to stay at Janayas for the night. It's an emergency, I have an important job" he frowns. "But- " "Alex it's important". He sighs and we walk back to Janayas house, Alex refusing to talk to me the entire time. I pay Janaya and head to the store, hoping Alex will forgive me. I buy a simple disposable camera for 5 dollars and head to the woods. It was 8 but the time I got to where offender and I met.  I looked around but nobody was near the road. Maybe I have to go into the forest..... I turn to the forest and notice him leaning against a tree. "Hello~" he smiles. I smile to meet his. "Hi! I just wanted to ask a few questions" I set my camera to record secretly. "Of course, after you give me the camera". He knew?! "Haha well I uh BYE!" I sprints off with the footage, being grabbed by his tentacle. He touches my forehead and I fall asleep.
