The first person that reacted was Scott. He immediately stood up from his spot on his chair and ran in Luke's direction.
After I realized what was happening, I ran over to Scott. I looked through the door to see Allison lying on the bed talking to Scott.
Scott was crying but Allison didn't seem to know why.
I wasn't worried if Allison could see me or not, I just wanted to make sure that she was ok. I heard Jace tell the shadowhunters in the other room to draw the invisibility rune first before going in.
I saw them all walk in and stand against the wall. "What do you people want?" Allison asked annoyed, looking towards the Jace and the others. Uh, she can see them? "Seriously? You think I can't see you or something?"
Jace looked at me looking confused, I exchanged the look. "What?!" She questioned.
"Alli, are you okay? There isn't anyone there." Scott said to her.
"What are you talking about? They are right there." Allison answered and pointed to the shadowhunters.
I heard Jace tell the shadowhunters to redraw there invisibility rune. "What the hell?!" Scott shouted. "Why are you guys here- wait, how did Allison see you?"
---
Allison was still still on the bed, looking at the supposedly invisible shadowhunters.
Both Jace and Alec had looks of surprise on their faces. They looked as if they were trying to figure out what was happening.
Isabelle stepped up. "She must have the sight." This seemed reasonable enough but how did she not notice anything when we were healing her?
"If that's the case, we have to kill her." Alec said simply, and Scott looked back as if Alec had just shot him.
"Ki-Kill her?" Scott stuttered. "You'll have to kill me first." Scott sneered angrily. Alec shrugged once more. "Wouldn't be a problem for me. Two problems gone."
This time it was my turn to protest. "What are you thinking?! Both Allison and Scott are worth something to us right now. Ok?" I shouted at him. I could've smacked him right then and there but rethought my decision. He was starting to make me angry for his stupid excuse to get rid of problems.
"By that logic, you could have killed me when you saw that I had the sight, huh?" Alec stayed silent after I said that. He didn't respond."We aren't killing them, end of story."
Alec scratched the back of his head. "You have me there, but I am sure that the Clave won't be so forgiving about this situation." Alec sighed trying to change the subject immediately
Allison still looked just as confused, and she put her fingers on her temples. "Just, who are you people?" Allison cracked, becoming flustered.
"Shadowhunters. I thought you already knew that." Jace said and folded his arms. "I mean names, obviously." Allison scoffed and Isabelle rolled her eyes. I guess she wasn't used to mundanes getting all the attention.
"Ugh, well I'm Jace, this is Alec, my parabatai, which I'm sure you will learn what it is sooner or later." Jace grunted, pointing to Alec at the parabatai part. "I'm Isabelle." Isabelle budded in seeming to be jealous.
Allison blushed slightly. "Allison." She attempted to say her name in a brave voice, but it came out sounding rather meek.
Isabelle came round the bed ending up right beside Allison. "The real question is; how can a mundane see us?" Allison looked a little hurt at Isabelle's outburst of a statement.
"Uh, a mundane with a name." She said crossing her arms. "I'm not sure if I should be offended or not." She said nervously twirling her hair on her finger. "Why did you guys want to kill me exactly?"
"Mundanes shouldn't have the sight - it's that simple. They often think that they are going insane. And then there's you I guess." Jace shrugged.
"What about Clary?" I finally said something, Jace looked toward me. "Why didn't you kill her?" I was starting raise my voice a little. For some reason I feel as if I have to defend Allison, for Scott's sake. "She was nothing more than a mundane to you when she got here, but now you treat her like she's always been here. Why can't Allison have the same treatment?"
"Just because, okay?" Jace said in mildly frustrated tone.
"That's not a good enough answer." I responded. "You grew used to having a mundane around. Why can't you just give her a chance!" I was growing red and sighed.
Alec looked as if he had just come up with an idea. "What if she wasn't a mundane anymore?"
Everyone else in the room looked puzzled. Alec laughed a little, scratching the back of his head. "Let me explain." He paused, presumably for effect. "When we finally get the mortal cup back, we can turn Allison into a shadowhunter." Alec said.
Allison had a look of terror on her face. "Are you serious? Nobody knows if the works or not." Allison interrupted with a definite fear, presumably not knowing what would happen to her.
"You're not touching her!" Scott protested with an angry grin on his face, looking ready to shift at any second.
"It actually kind of makes sense," I stated knowing the answer I would get from Scott. Scott glanced at me as if he was going to kill me, and to be honest he had the power to do so.
"Scott, you may not like the fact that she'll be like us but this might save her life!" I stated trying to convince him to consider the fact. "If the clave found out we could all be striped of our runes for not killing her." It's a matter of life or death at this point.
"Still, Allison-" He started but stopped. I could tell he was considering it and the last thing I wanted was to be pushy on the subject as it was a lot to consider.
"Personally, it's not your decision Scott." interrupted Jace, "It's up to Allison." he said as he glanced at Allision with a small grin.
Allison looked up at Jace with slight fear but still confident in her decision. "I-I... need time to think, ok?" She threw her hands up in the air but winced and put them back down.
Scott looked hurt that his opinion didn't get righted immediately and he whimpered quietly. "Allison, I know I never wanted this for you but I fully support whatever your decision may end up being." Scott said and planted a kiss on her forehead.
"I think I need to do this Scott, I will put all of you in more danger than I already have." Allison muttered as she slowing moved her eyes to Scott's. They were facing eye to eye now. After a minute Scott broke the uncomfortable silence.
"So, what do you pick?" Scott breathed in nervously awaiting the answer of his girlfriend.
"I think I should do it. "
