Stiles Lightwood AU (Teen Wolf + Shadowhunters) [ FINISHED ]

- Chapter 3 The Day After -

I couldn't sleep the whole night, how everyone is mad at occupied my mind. What if they don't forgive me? What if I get in trouble? What if I get stripped of my runes? I am overthinking this too much.

     I could hear my mother arguing with Isabelle next door, probably about the way she dresses and blah blah blah blah. I did not want to leave my room but I had to go and apologize to Clary, I owed her that much.

     I got up and left my room having second thoughts, once I opened my door I walked to the main hall. Everyone was there... and everyone had heard the truth or rumors of what happened. I walked casually to the medical centre, I saw Isabelle preparing for an autopsy on the demon that attacked Clary. I walked into clary's room to see her lying on the bed, pale as the colour of snow, she was sleeping with chords coming out of her. I cringe at the sight. I sit down and wait until she wakes up.

     I see Jace down the hall walking towards the room. Oh great another lecture of what I did was wrong, just great. But instead he just walked right in and sat down, not a word came out of his mouth. Clary finally woke up, she saw me and told Jace to leave.

     "Clary, you do not know how bad I feel for what happened to you, It is all my fault-"

She interrupted me.

     "Stiles, do not worry about it, but you should have been a responsible shadowhunter and killed that demon. You could of been in my position right not." she said with worry in her eyes.

"I know, and I am so sorry." I replied with guilt.

"Don't worry, i'm not mad at you." she answered with a small smile on her pale cheeks.

The doctors came in and said she was ready for her operation, Jace escorted me out of the room and kissed Clary's hand goodbye. He had a strong grip on my shoulder.

"Leave Stiles, you have no right to be here." Jace said with anger forming in his eyes. 

"No you wait and listen to me, no one has given me a chance to speak! I am sorry, deeply. I should have been responsible, I should have been a better shadowhunter, brother and friend." I stated.

"I have noticed you have not been focused why?" Jace asked, he started to calm down.

"I saw this guy, when I see him I feel like we are connected, sort of like how you are with Alec." I replied to his question.

"Me and Alec are parabatai, there is no way you're connected to someone." He responded.

"I tell you Jace, It feels like I am whole when I see him, I need to find some answers." Istated and ran one of my hands through my hair.

"Well, you got me to help you, let's find this guy and let's find answers." Jace said with determination in his eyes.

"Uh, aren't you angry with me-" I started but Jace interrupted me with a hug, I hug him back.

"It's okay, you made a mistake, we all make mistakes." We let go of each other, Jace made a half smile. "Tell me about this guy."

"Well, his name is Scott. I am pretty sure he is human... but he can see me, even though I redrew the invisibility rune."

"Are you sure you redrew the invisibility ru-" I interrupted him before he could finish. "Yes I did, no one could see me except him."

"Where and when was the last time you have seen him?" He asked and folded his arms.

"Around Beacon Hills, before I got back from the institute." I answered.

"Then let's see if he is still around Beacon Hills."

Jace and I walked around Beacon Hills, he isn't around. We gave up and went back to the institute because Alec, Isabelle and the others will be looking for us and it was getting late. When we entered the institute Alec was their right away and fear in his eyes. "Where were you guys?! Isabelle and I were looking for you guys everywhere! You know you have to tell us when you leave the inst-"

"Shut up Alec. We're here, we were just... looking for something... for Clary." Jace responded, I wasn't surprised that he lied to Alec.

"Ugh, just, tell me next time." He said and walked away and went to the weapons room.

I grabbed my blade, the weapon of choice and placed it back into the keeping room. I realized how late it was and and decided to call it a night.
