I wake on a cold tile floor, intaking a large breath and then going into a coughing fit.
My vision was blurry as I opened my eyes for the first time since the big fight, and I saw black and grey figures swirling and moving all around me. I had absolutely no idea where I was, considering a kitchen floor tile is not an ideal resting place.
"Good morning sleeping beauty." A familiar voice said out of nowhere. I jerked up immediately, blinking fast trying to make sense of my surroundings.
My vision started to get more clear, and now I could see who was in the same room as me.
"Apollo." I mumbled. "Where am I?"
"My house." Apollo said in a cocky tone. He smirked my way and walked out of the room through a large doorway. I took a minute to look around.
Apollo's house, or at least the kitchen was - was big to say the least. He had huge counters with marble countertops. He had framed photos of people from what seemed like every generation of civilization. Makes sense, I thought to myself.
I stood up, using the countertop as support. He had huge flower arrangements on a another massive table. Everything looked so pristine and new, as if nothing had been touched. Except for the floor where I had been sleeping. There was a small dried up pool of blood on the floor. I felt for an injury, but nothing was there.
I remember some parts of the big fight, but no details. I didn't recall going Apollo's house afterwards. I was pretty sure of one thing though - I shouldn't be alive.
After realizing that I got a burst of adrenaline and without gripping anything I ran straight into the next room, a sitting room to find Apollo, Asher, and Ivy sitting and whispering amongst themselves. I stomped on the ground randomly and they all looked up as if they had a heart attack.
"Hey sleeping beauty!" Ivy giggled, and Apollo looked at her, mock offended. "Hey, that's my line." He grumbled and crossed his arms.
"Doesn't matter," I huffed, taking a breath. "Aren't I supposed to be dead?" I looked around frantically awaiting my answer but they just kept talking to each other.
"Guys, shouldn't we just let him go?" Asher questioned. Ivy and Apollo rolled their eyes.
"Not the plan, Asher." Ivy replied sounding bored.
"Why am I here? What do you want from me?" I asked again, this time not giving up until I got an answer.
'
Apollo sighed and stood up again. "We want an advantage. With Sapphire thinking that you're dead, we can take her down with our secret weapon."
"Oh yeah? And what's that?" I snorted at him, and he stared at me annoyed. "You."
"We have yet to train you, but I know you can do it." Ivy said with a weak smile as if she was trying to convince herself that it was true.
"The Triquetra remains loyal to you. Anything that you may to defeat Sapphire, we will help you get it." The group of three said simultaneously and bowed their heads towards me.
"Look, I just want to go home. I have friends and a family you know who think I'm dead you know, right?"
"How are you an advantage if people know that we have you?" Ivy said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"Yeah, Stiles." Asher scratched the back of his head. "You're gonna be dead for a while."
