- Bea's Pov -
Hi i'm Bea de Leon a freshmen and also a rookie player at the Ateneo Women's Volleyball Team. Who would've thought that i'll be able to get in this university? I know your all saying that it's because i'm rich but I pretty much got chosen to be in this university and at this team. Some bosses basically decided on my fate for me but I ain't complaining since i'm in one of the top universities and La Salle's #1 enemy on the court whatever sport it is.
Today's the day that i'll be moving in Ateneo headquarters. My whole life will now revolve on the walls of Eliazo Dorm, Blue Eagles Gym and of course the Ateneo Campus. I feel nervous being away from my family but thrilled to have this freedom at the same time. I guess this is where i'll learn how to be independent and start being an adult.
Around 8 am in the morning when Bea's mom decided to wake her up by going to her room.
"Bea today will be your moving in day/first day at Ateneo, you wouldn't want to be late. Come on wake up na"
It was tough for Bea to get up from her bed because she stayed up late doing some last minute packing of her stuff last night and because she'll miss the comforts from her own bed but after 10 minutes she finally got up and headed straight to the bathroom to clean up
'Today's the day Bea, you wouldn't want to be late for your class and kailangan good shot agad sa mga tao dun especially sa mga girls and team of course'
Bea thought of as she was getting ready but surprised that the last part even decided to pop up into her mind knowing that the last time she fell in love was with this girl from high school and she thought their will never be a chance again to relive the feeling but she doesn't know what's in store for her in Ateneo.
It took Bea 20 minutes for her to finish prepping up till she decides to go down while juggling a suitcase and bags of stuff and bid goodbye to her family before getting into her car and drive herself to Ateneo.
Bea: Mom, Dad and Kuya Loel I'll be going now. I'll see all of you again soon and promise that I would call every now and then.
Dad: Ok anak, I'll miss you so much. Hope you'll be able to stay with us over the weekends and if you have friends they can stay-over at our place, we 'll love to meet them.
Bea: sure dad pero baka matagal pa ako magkakaroon ng kaclose sa mga blockmates ko and sa team
Kuya Loel: don't worry, walang makakatiis sa mga gawain mo haha
Bea then hugged each one of them while exchanging "i'll miss you's" with each other and before grabbing a sandwich from the table and head straight outside to the car and leave.
First day traffic made her get to the campus in 20 minutes and she subtly panicked because she might not be able to get a parking anymore but realized that since she's an athlete who'll be staying at Eliazo dorm then she has the right to park there. She went straight to the grounds of the dorm and parked her car upon entering the campus. She didn't bother on bringing her stuff in yet because room assignments won't be till 3pm and its just 10am.
She thought of familiarizing herself with the campus since she'll be needing it for her classes and training. With a quick text to her parents about arriving safely and after puttin in her earphones, she makes her way to the different buildings and tries to memorize what each area represents.
Bea made the BEG her last resort because she wanted to stay some more there if ever she'll be able to catch a team doing some trainings.
After a 15 minute walk through different buildings, she finally made it to BEG and from the outside, voices of girls echo out loud so she felt lucky about arriving at the right time because it looks like there's actually training going on.
Bea slowly made her way inside of the gym and as soon as she sees the women's volleyball team that's currently on the process of a scrimmage drill, she felt goosebumps rush through her body. Not only because of seeing up close and personal her idols and how great they really look but because she'll be training with them soon and will also be a part of the team.
She slowly and quietly made her way to the bleachers as not to distract the team. As her eyes are glued to the scrimmage that's happening, she heard a voice behind her back that was close to a whisper but still loud and it was calling for her attention with " hey!". Bea turned around to face the person that called her and that single look gave an answer to her question earlier
That if will she be ever to find love again? Yes and the girl's just right beside her that's now intently watching the team & at the same time is looking burdened.
Bea just can't help but stare at her and forget about the team that's training.
"Stop staring I might melt"
She said and that was it
