I made a mistake with the characters that I used in this story so forgive me for the adjustments that I'll be doing in this chapter and I hope that you'll still be able to get the drift of the story

'It made them nervous. It made them pressured. It made them excited. And it made them uncertain.'
These are the words that the new courtside reporter of Ateneo got from the team's new captain Jia Morado when interviewed about what the team is feeling knowing that the start of the season 79 is about to open in a few days
Jia: I think I just basically described just what I'm feeling you know like I feel nervous, pressured, excited and uncertain about being able to fill in the shoes of being the new captain given to me by Ate Ly.
Denice: could you explain how Alyssa appointed you as the new captain of the team?
-flashback-
Jia woke up feeling like there's something that's bound to happen today but she just couldn't figure out what. It may just be a week before the opening of the uaap but that's not it. She thought of maybe there's something new with the team. She was about to dig deeper into the thought when someone knocked on her room, which then opened after a few seconds
Ly: good your awake, I'll be meeting you all for some announcements so hurry. Can you call the others for me?
Jia: sure ate
Jia then made her way out of the room and into the room of others to tell them that their captain needs them downstairs. Since it's a Sunday, trainings are cancelled and despite waking up early they can just get back to bed after. Seeing that everybody's already downstairs, Ly started with her announcements
Ly: so you must know by now that in a few days will already be the start of the new season, season 79 and today will be the time that we your ate's would have to say goodbye and see you take in charge of the team. Team besh have talked about how hard it may be to say goodbye to the team who also became a family to us but its part of the process. We have to let go to give way for something new and we'll be giving our full support on the team, to the new players, to the returnees and for the upcoming new captain of the team.
Jia could just stare at her Ate Ly because she can't seem to process what was happening. Yes, she has seen them graduate already from college but she didn't see the time where they'll finally be leaving them coming.
Den: With that, Jho is back on the team along with Mich, Kat, Anna and Maddie. New addition to the team will be jules samonte who's from la salle zobel and Therese wouldn't be able to join the team anymore but with this line-up I'm pretty sure you'll be able to do well on the games. Ly I'll give you the honor in announcing the new captain.
Ly: it was a long and hard deliberation between me and the coaching staff on who should be the new captain for she's supposed to be vocal to the team that's on the court, during practices, during huddles and someone who can keep the team calm despite the pressure. Upon thinking of those aspects, I suddenly thought of one who may not perfectly resemble such but displays it in every game & I've been seeing it from the years of being in this team. The coaching staff quickly agreed with my choice so with that we've decided......... Jia to be the new captain of the team
It took Jia a moment to absorb what her Ate Ly said but once she got back to her senses she was surely in shock. Everyone were congratulating her for being the new captain but Jia didn't know what to do or what to say
Ly: Jia congratulations for being the team's new captain. You deserve this role from what I've seen from you these past years. I can't wait to see you leading the team and possibly get the championship back to ateneo
Jia: B-but Ate Ly
Ly: We believe in you Jia including the coaching staff and especially coach Tai. They may say that you've got big shoes to fill but actually I already see in you what it takes to be a captain since season 77 so I know you'll be able to do this better than me
Jia looked at her Ate Ly and to her team and they just nodded at the thought and gave her encouraging smiles. She stands up and hugs Ate Ly before she actually bursts into tears because of what she heard and it really just sinked into her that this will really be the last day of her ate's being with the team and in the dorm.
The others couldn't help but bursts into tears also for they've been together for five years and they each considered each other as a sister and as a family. This maybe their last being together in the team but they'll be their cheering on the sidelines feeling proud of their babies and they will just be a call away if they want to meet up or if there's any problem.
Den: I thought we'll be having a nice farewell but instead here we are with puffy eyes and stuffy noses. Enough of this girls, we need to go to make room for the others.
With that, the girls started to cry even more and tightened the hug so that their ate's wouldn't be able to leave but failed when Ly started counting them down to let them go.
Bea helped her Ate Ly with her stuff while Jho helped her Ate Den. Same goes to Ponggay with Ella and Jamie with Amy. The dorm felt eerily quiet as they were heading down the stairs with their bags. They each helped them get their stuff in their cars and before leaving Ly has one more announcement to Jia
Ly: Since were already out of the dorm I guess its also time to have new room assignments including the new members. Jia i'll leave you to it
Bea: Uhh Ji maybe you can partner me with Jho?
Jia: Not gonna happen
Bea: B-but Ate Ly
Ly: Sorry i'm not the captain anymore
She says to Bea as she gets into her car. Den, Ella and Amy also go in their cars. The others wave them goodbyes while Bea is still their protesting
Bea: Ate Ly please! Jia!
Jho is just there watching Bea and she could just laugh because she's just so cute begging to be roomies with her
Ly: Nope, bye baby besh!
She said as she drives away
Jia: That's not gonna work sorry
She said as she makes her way back inside the dorm
Bea was left hopeless on the parking lot and Jho approached Bea with a side-hug
Jho: We'll work this out bei
And with that genuine smile and pat in the head from Jho, she quickly recovers and trusted everything to Jho

This is just a filler to fix my story so the real flow of the story would already be on the next one.
Hope i'll be inspired to write the next chapter asap.
