namjoon was the first to enter the room. hyungwon sat on the sofa cradled into hoseok and smiling wide.
"once upon a time, there was a land where happiness ceased to exist,"
hyungwon's eyebrows rose at the wording the nine year old had used.
"there was not much hope a young boy in this place could have, but one day, one certain boy went look for his happiness, his name was namjoon. namjoon didn't know where he should go or what he should do, he was lost in a forest. the next day a person approached him, and it had been the most beautiful sight namjoon had ever seen."
jin entered the room. he was wearing a silk blouse with ancient bow cuff links around his small wrists tucked into a faded pink skirt that reached his knees. his hair had been combed neatly and his cheeks were slightly tinted.
"are you lost?" he spoke timidly.
hyungwon grinned, jin looked quite pretty.
the older boy's watched as jin poked namjoon who had seemed to be staring at him, "say your line," he whispered.
namjoon's entire face turned pink, "y-you could say that. i-i'm searching for happiness, have you seen any?"
"don't be silly, happiness is much closer than you think." jin smiled.
"really? where can i find it, is it near here!?" namjoon jumped up regaining his confidence.
"happiness is found right here," jin smiled fondly at namjoon placing a hand over his friend's heart.
"i can feel it now," namjoon said looking at jin in wonderment, "i can always feel it near you."
"n-amjoon that's no-" hyungwon could already tell that it was no longer acting, it seemed that namjoon was confessing something to jin.
"thank you for helping me find my happiness, i was stuck in the dark for so long, but you were like a sunshine who led me to greatness. i never thought i would feel happiness this great seokjin, thank you."
jin looked like he wanted to cry as namjoon gave him the tightest hug hyungwon had ever seen possible.
he watched as his younger brother hugged him back.
"those weren't even the lines namjoon."
"you never let me thank you for anything, and i just really wanted to tell you that you helped me a lot, and you also looked very pretty." namjoon blushed as they pulled away.
jin's face turned pink, "thank you."
hoseok began clapping. hyungwon looked up at the older boy and smiled softly seeing the tear in his eye. hyungwon joined in and jeongyeon who had been unnoticed in the kitchen door frame also started clapping.
the two young boys shared a bashful look before grasping each other's hands and bowing.
"so hyung, did you like it? it was only short this time round but we took a lot of time thinking of words to say, jeongyeon helped us lots too." jin grinned as he approached hyungwon.
"i loved it so much little jin, it spoke very deeply, it also showed how awesome you are to namjoon, he seemed really happy at the end," the elder brother smiled.
"namjoon is so silly sometimes, calling me pretty and all that in the middle of the play, aish."
"i think namjoon truly thinks you're very pretty jin." hoseok giggled joining the conversation.
jin smiled bashfully looking at his feet, "i'm not pretty though."
"little jin, i think the pretty genes run in your family, you are just as pretty as your hyung, maybe even prettier."
