CHAPTER 4:
IT'S CONFIRMED!
I almost followed Aimi to the girl's bathroom, luckily I still have the right consciousness to stop and look at the sign.
"Go away, you pervert!" she shouted from the inside.
"Per-vert," someone behind me syllabized in a calm manner that it gave me chills.
When I turned around—ugh!
"Ch-Chiyo?" it’s the sister in her usual braided hair with a ribbon at the end!
"Let me through, pervert," she said again, lacking energy. I felt three sharp axes invisibly cut through my flesh.
I looked around and saw the others murmuring and whispering.
I bet they’re thinking that I’m really perverted, almost following a girl – more so, the school’s idol to the bathroom. Plus, with her sister, who has much more influence than her calling me a pervert—I can kiss the rest of my high school life as a normal student, goodbye.
I have no choice but to step aside to let her through, I don’t want the situation to worsen.
"It's locked," I warned her.
She just returned my gaze.
"Ai... its Chi," she said and like a magic spell, the young lady who locked the door opened it and grabbed Chiyo's arm then pulled her in.
Chiyo's like some hippie of some sort, talking in a slow manner and instead of waving "hello" she flashes a peace sign to everybody.
The four of us, I, Jae, Aimi and Chiyo came from the same school since middle school. It was only Jae who I was with since elementary since we’re childhood friends and also a relative of mine from my father’s side of the family.
Chiyo transferred a year before Aimi; Jae and I are 7th graders by then.
I wanted to talk to Aimi as soon as she gets out of the girl’s room, so I waited.
I know that what I’m doing is making me look more like a pervert that I was formerly accused, but I don’t mind. I can just think of another way out of that rumor, somehow.
Right now, my only concern is to know the truth straight from Aimi. I don’t care what others call me.
I have what I always dreamed of right behind this door. This kind of makes a whole other meaning to the saying ‘So near, yet so far’ thing.
If I can just open this door, I would be with the love of my life.
I was battling with myself when suddenly, "Hey, perv," Chiyo peeked from the door a few minutes after.
"Wh-what?" I scoffed.
She stepped out and latched herself onto my arm like my lover.
“Let’s go have a date before the bell rings.”
"D-da-date?! W-wait, w-what are you doing?" I tried to break free but I’m bound to her as of the moment.
The other students are also looking our way. This is just so embarrassing!
"Let's go..." she smiled at me and pulled my arm in the direction of the stairs, "the princess won't go out of her hiding place if there’s a pervert outside."
Pervert?! I am NOT a pervert!
And before I knew it, I'm totally sucked in her pace. She dragged me all over the school. The cafeteria, the gymnasium, the field, then back to the cafeteria again... Seriously, I want to just stay in the cafeteria and eat. I haven't had my lunch yet!
