A giant paw streaked through the air. It's nails pierced my jacket and shirt. The wind blew into my shirt chilling me to the bone. I jumped to the side dodging another blow which would have sliced my neck.
"Gah!" I yelled as the impact onto the sidewalk smack my ribs. I put my hands onto the cold, blood-stricken cement and pushed up.
Another smack hit me. I felt myself flying through the air and impacting onto the grass of my house. I wanted to shut my eyes and wait for this dream to end. I know it's not a dream when I feel a tap on my shoulder.
A girl about my age looked down upon me with wide green eyes. She had blonde-brown hair that glistened as the blood from the people being splattered on the walls around us. She spoke quickly and sternly, "Help me. Please."
She grabbed my hand and lifted me into the air. The cat lady pounced on the spot I was just laying. The girl then kicked the mutated freak in the chest and it tumbled down the lawn.
"This way!" The girl yelled from a two-story, yellow house. The windows were shattered and I knew something can't be right.
I sprinted over, jumping over gnomes and dead bodies, I arrived next to her. She was looking around for signs of danger.
"In here. It's my sister Emily. She was playing with her bunny and now...." The girl broke into tears as she pointed at the upper floor window where white fur was moving around.
"Okay. My name is Felix. What's your name?" I asked while glancing up at the window. I got a glimpse of a red eye staring out. A red human eye.
"My...my name's Karli. Please you have to help!" The girl said.
I nodded and turned to the door. It had holes and scratches that went straight through the door on it. My hand reached the knob and I turned.
