Chapter 10

Karli looked at me, "Felix. Duck."

I did so and saw the glint of a knife lodge itself in a giant rat. It had blonde hair and it's claws were hands with white knuckles.

Emily.

The knife was in her blonde chest. It didn't affect her as she bled. She wasn't dead yet. I whipped out my sword and lunged at the beast. I tried to stab its neck, but I stabbed its shoulder instead. Emily shook me off and I flew off her back. Lia was aiming for the neck with her crossbow, but Emily kept moving to much. Rain was cowering in the shadows. Rowen stood there with a grin on her face. While Karli stood behind Rowen crying her eyes out.

Emily saw Rowen doing nothing and roared in hatred. Rowen took a step back. The grin was wiped from her face when Emily's hand swiped the air. Her nails dug into Rowen's neck, slitting her throat.

Rowen screamed in agony then fell to the ground face first.

Rain screamed,"NO!" He whipped out his sickle and cut off Emily's head starting from the neck.

Karli yelled at Rain,"YOU BASTARD! SHE WAS MY SISTER!"

Rain shoved Karli to the side as she charged at him with a knife raised. He knelt down next to Rowen who lay dead. She started to grow hair all over her cheeks and arms.

She was mutating.
