Rain was still gripping Rowen tightly when she woke up. Her once beautiful brown and blue eyes turned black and sucked all the life from the air.
Rowen let out a snarl that reminded me of a lion. Her fur was slowly growing into a full body lion cast.
Rain cried out for Rowen hoping she was still in there. I walked over to him and knocked him out with a swing of the punch. It was QUITE EASY.
Quickly, I slashed my sword through the air and cut off Rowen's arms and legs. With a flash of red, she hopped around trying to reach us and sink her teeth into flesh.
I turned to Lia who was still consoling Karli about Emily. "We can't kill her. There might be a cure or something. We need her alive so Rain doesn't go nuts and kill us all."
"Let's keep her in a...an apartment," Lia says,"She'll be harmless there."
I nodded and grabbed one of the blankets we had from last night. We wrapped Rowen's head 6 times and left her body open. Then, we carried the mutation to an apartment a block away.
By the time we appeared, Rain was awake. His nose was covered in dried blood. He just shook his head. I saw a single tear fall from his eye and plummet into the dying fire.
