Hailey's POV:

A cool wind was messing up my long black hair while I was waiting my mom come back home. I had forgotten my keys at home since in the morning I had decided just snooze my alarm before my big brother Derek came to pull my blanket off over my body and yell that I was going to miss a school if I don't wake up right away.

I had just groaned back but stood up the bed before I realized that it was true. It was 7:36AM, and the school was starting 8AM. I had just pulled my light pink hoodie and grey jeans out of my wardrobe, dressed them up, grabbed my backpack and rushed the school without eating a breakfast or thinking that I would forget something.

I had forgot my math and French book at home and got disappointed gazes from my teachers first time for a while. Usually I was a good student who did her homeworks and works scrupulously and neatly but sometimes that picture of me break down a bit.

Now I regret it that I had been so lazy earlier and let that side of me took the control. It started get colder and clouds covered the sky, it was about to start rain, I thought. I sat on our stone stairs and pulled out my phone to check the clock, 4:56PM. Mom will get out from work soon.

I sat there still a few more minutes before familiar grey Mercedes-Benz drove in front of our house and woman with white jacket and black leather stiletto heels stepped out of the car and looked me confused.

"Sweetheart, why are you sitting there?" mom asked and grabbed her purse from backseats before she locked the car and walked over me. "I forgot my keys" I mumbled and heard how long sigh left her mouth. "It's third time of this month, Hailey" she said before opening the front door for us.

It was more than just pleasing to feel that warmness of home after sitting outside over 2 hours just your hoodie and jeans on, it was a long time to wait for me. I took off my white Converses and picked up my backpack on the floor before I heated in my room to do my homework.

I opened a history book and started read about World War II but before I could even notice my eyes had started get closed. I leaned my head against my hands and promised myself that I could take a just short a few minutes nap before I would continue that reading process and later go eating. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I woke up on that how my mom shook me on my shoulders and when I met her gaze. "Is this how you will get better grades? Hailey, you have to concentrate!" she spoke out louder than usually but it didn't work on me when I was now just staring out of the window how a big moving van backed in front of the neighbor's house which had been empty almost 3 years already.

"Are you even listening to me, young lady?!" I turned my head over her side and nodded sighing. "Yeah mom, I know. Sorry" I gave her a hug. "It's okay honey but I meant what I said. I don't wanna see those red marks anymore in your tests" she told and I nodded again.

"It seems like we had got finally new neighbor" she said suddenly and pointed me to look out of the window. "Seemly" I mumbled when we were sitting in the dinner table. "Hey, why don't we go say hi or something to them?" she suggested and I shot my head up almost right away to look at her. "Uhm, no" I rolled my eyes and continued eating.

"Why not? I still regret that we didn't do so when Mr. and Mrs. Jordan moved here" I talked about our other neighbors other side of the street. "You can go yourself because I'm not gonna come with you" I raised my hands up by showing that I was out of the game.

"Okay, you'll bring something to them then yourself" she told not even waiting for my answer. She took our big basket out of the closet and put there a few jar of jam and a few bottles of strawberry juice. She handed me the basket and I shared disbelieved gaze with her. "You can't be serious, mom" I mumbled. "Mm? What did you said, sweetie? Now, go before it will get dark"

I rolled my eyes for her but decided still do as she told. There was no way to fight back with your own mom, especially when you always lose. I grabbed that basket on her hands and started carry it to the hallway where I put my shoes on and grabbed my jacket. The wind had started blow stronger and leaves flew on streets like they would be dancing. I looked our neighbors house where last moving van backed away and continued its way to next place and people who needed it.

I stopped and looked behind myself. My mom looked me through the window so there was no way to just leave that basket without having any conversation with that man or woman. Or maybe that person who will open the door is some kid, girl on same age with me would be too much to hope so I pushed that image away from my head.

I took a deep breath before I walked in front the front door and pressed the doorbell. It took a few minutes before I heard footsteps coming closer and before tall, brown-haired, young man came to open the door. He gave me a warm smile and a couple of minutes I could nothing but stare him. He was gorgeous. "Hey!" he said and made me woke up my daydream finally. "Oh, hey! I'm Hailey, from the house next to you" I said shyly and handed him the basket. "Mom sent me to give you this. Welcome to Hart Street!" I greeted and again that cute smile of his spreap on his face.

"Nice to meet you, Hailey. I'm Justin, Justin Bieber" " he said and stretch out his hand for shake. "It's nice to see that I have at least one good-looking neighbor" he winked and my face changed color to red. I looked my feet and bit my lip. "Uhm, I should maybe go now, it's getting late" I mumbled before I pulled my hand off his where it had stayed since we shook hand. "Maybe, say thank you to your mom for this. She wouldn't have to do something like that" he told and I nodded back not giving him an eye contact still. "I will" I said back and started to walk back home. "Good night, Hailey" I heard his soft, low voice yelling for me and my cheeks heated again. "Good night, Justin"
