Hailey's POV:
I took short looks of Marcus with corner of my eye during the whole way to Frida's place. I was hypnotized of him. He looked unreal good. At school he supposed to wear pretty casual and classy clothes which made him look good but this little bad boy look made him look even better. I was happy that I was able to see it.
Thing which I was thankful was that he was on charge. He had said that we should keep this on friend zone. I was happy that he said that because if it was in my hand, I didn't know what would happen. I didn't even noticed that I was sraring straight to Marcus before I heard him chuckle. "Are you excited, Hailey?" he asked and I nodded again.
"I see, but I gotta go ask that excitement bring back your tongue because we can't go on like this the whole night" he laughed softly. I laughed back and smiled. "No need to, I'm fine" I finally got some words out of my mouth. He told me still a few more jokes and we laughed together to them before Marcus stopped his car in front of Frida's house. I already had fun with Marcus during our car drive, and I didn't know would I want go to meet others in the party anymore.
To be honest I would have wanted to spent that time with him just me and him but I didn't want disappoint him or make it look a like suspious. We're just friends, I reminded myself. Take it easy.
"Everything alright, Hailey?" he asked and looked me asking when he was standing next to me outside of his car, and waiting for me. "Yeah.. yeah, I just- Let's go to party" I mumbled a little embarrassed and got finally myself out of the car. We walked together inside and like I had thought already, everyone's gaze turned over us. Jealous maybe, I thought and smirked myself when we walked deeper the house.
I enjoyed all those gazes and frustrated sighs which I heard after me. That's right bitches. Look how much you want but you can't change the fact he asked me and not you fake asses. We met Frida and his brother in the living room, and they also gave us a suprised look. "Oh hey, guys" Frida came to us and smiled. "I didn't expected that you two could- I mean, what the fuck am I saying. I just wanted come welcome you here. I'm glad you came"
We chatted a few minutes before we decided made our way to kitchen. "Do you want a drink?" Marcus asked and I nodded. We cheered and drank some of our drinks. I started cough a little because the strong taste. "Woah, this is such a bomb" Marcus laughed out and made me smile a little too while I tried calm myself down. That was one of the strongest drinks which I had ever tasted.
I decided put it just away. I didn't want go drunk at home. In the backyard some of our classmates were playing a beer pong and like you could probably expect some desperate girls were already hanging on some boys necks all drunk and horny. That was the other reason why I didn't want reach that state of mind. It could ruin my chances to get closer with Marcus forever.
We decided separate with Marcus for a little moment. I walked back inside and went talk with other girls from my class, while Marcus went talk with his own friends. I could see them looking over us. It made me wonder what they were talking about. About me? Doubts of that if this was just a joke to embarrass me, tried come to my mind too but I pushed them away. Marcus wasn't like that, at least that Marcus who I knew so far.
I turned my gaze back to girls who with I was hanging, and decided it just be. I didn't care if this was joke or not. At least I didn''t have to be at home and listening my mom's boring talks about how hard it was to work on place where most of people were men. I wouldn't have mind that at least, I mean if I was her, I would have already stuck my fingers to a new man and forgot my last husband. Hard words from 19-years-old girl? Yeah, they might be but it was just truth. I couldn't believe how she was still single even she had broke up years ago from our dad.
